Doesn't spend the time needed, nor does he or the office return calls in a timely matter! My mother ended up in the hospital for a week because of this neglectfulness! I called his office to let him know that she was in the hospital and he never even checked on her or made a phone call! Her next visit with him after, "I had no idea you were in the hospital, no one told me." It normally takes 3-4 days for the office to call you back if your lucky! I'm in the process of finding my mother a new doctor!

Saved my life

My was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus and stomach. He very much liked Dr. Evans for his honesty and straightforwardness. However, near the end of his life, my father laid in the hospital without any word from Evans. He knew he was in his last days but so desperately desired closure and decided could only have it if Dr. Evans could tell him there was nothing more to be done. We pleaded to get just a phone call to my father at the very least and Dr. Evans would not oblige. This was very disheartening. For a man my father so looked up to, he failed to impress me. Improve your bedside manner and at the very least, be straightforward with your patients even if the news is grim. That is the respectful and decent thing to do.

Dr. Evans was an excellent Dr. I saw him for 8 months while going through Chemo for Hodgkins Lymphoma. It has been 5 years since diagnosis and I feel better than ever!
