He is an amazing doctor he treated myself and my two children for many years. We never had any issues he was always great with our care.

Mentally unstable man. I asked him about how I can acquire an emotional support license and he basically said only veterans should have emotional support animals and no one else needs them? Then when I said I need my pets because (as many studies state) they provide therapeutic help for my anxiety and depression, he said I was manipulating him then hung up on me. Like legitimately screamed at me. Not a well man.

"I have seen Dr Mak three different times. My most recent was shortly after having my son. I deal with debilitating anxiety and panic disorders and have been diagnosed with severe and severe depression as well as Ptsd. I was desperately searching for answers for my panic disorder and I went in to see him for an appointment during a panic episode breathing in a bag crying because mind you I had been dealing with panic every single minute of every single day with ZERO relief. He was training someone I believe and proceeded to tell me he didn't have time for "this" or me and was very upset. I asked for someone to call an ambulance. He turned to his trainee and said "this is about as dramatic and bad as it gets" and got up and walked out of the room and left in the middle of my appointment. The first time I saw him (age 15) he prescribed me 3 medications within like five minutes of initially seeing me. And not too long after, I overdosed on those three things including xanax trying to end… my life . Dr. Mak is careless and horribly insensitive. I am appalled and disgusted that a man like this is allowed to "help" people."

This jerk misdiagnosed me, allowed me to take improper, unsafe medication for a condition I did not actually, have. Dismissed me when I told him the ER nurse told me my psychotic episode was due to low potassium, and basically called me stupid. Also, when I told him I was autistic, he said, "You're no rainman, you can't be autistic". Or something to that effect. It took all of my self restraint not to physically attack him for that. He's an insensitive jerk who has no business working in the mental health field. He clearly doesn't know the link between poor nutrition and mental health problems, nor does he know enough about Autism Spectrum disorders and how they present differently in men and women, children and adults. Please, NEVER take your children to see him. They will get misdiagnosed and placed on medication that they likely don't need. He in dangerous.
