Dr. Thai Tran

After submitting two objective surveys to AtlantiCare (NJ Hospital System) following visits to Dr. Thai Tran’s Mays Landing office, I received an unsolicited call from her Office Manager, Meagan. At the time, I was on a recorded call with my health insurance representative. With acknowledgment, the calls were merged. Meagan quoted my survey responses and reacted with raging hostility—raising her voice, speaking rapidly, interrupting, and offering no apology. I remained calm and respectful, as acknowledged by the shocked Insurer. I reported the incident to Dr. Tran and informed her that the call was Insurer recorded and witnessed by the Insurer. Despite this, Dr. Tran failed to acknowledge my right to patient safety nor did she initiate any investigation into the conduct. Patients deserve respect and should not be subjected to retaliation for participating in solicited surveys. Policies nor basic human empathy were in place to guarantee patient care with dignity and medical expertise.… Dr. Tran's neglecting to advise of and or process submitted acts of harm by medical personnel do real harm to patients. The Insurer, who witnessed this exchange (and other direct exchanges from the Insurer's own calls to the provider office), has advised Atlanticare and activated their own reporting procedures, as well
