Difficulty in using computer to get to Dr winn

Dr. Win has treated me for RA for several years. Conditions and insurance are different for everyone, but the benefits of Dr. Win’s and his staff’s care have made the self-administered injections every two weeks the only indication that I have RA. Professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, this physician has earned my confidence.

Although I have had 9 Prolia shots with this doctor covered under Medicare, the Doctor refused to provide service of a Prolia shot because I just signed up with Medicare Advantage. I checked before I signed up for Medicare Advantage to be sure he was in network. He is listed in Network for Medicare Advantage. They refused the service.

I came for help, not knowing what was going on with my body. Lots of pain! A few visits and told to go back to work. If you can’t help a person, get help finding a solution. Actually he needs to go to work and stop, just collecting people’s hard earn money. I got harassed fir $15, but when my insurance overpaid. They couldn’t find that money. Very disappointed in Dr. Winn. I didn’t have a Win Win situation. It was lose, lose????????????

Two years ago, I was very ill with myositis and no other doctors on my team had even thought of it as a possible diagnosis. He found the diagnosis, confirmed it and treated it. Now I am in remission. I am very grateful to him. His staff is great and helped me in many ways to get the medicines I need through myriad of insurance company's red tapes.

Their staff reminded me of what’s wrong with our healthcare system. Private practices have free range to treat patients as if they don’t matter. A Rheum treats chronically ill patients. It should be a shock that a patient could get sick and have to miss an spot. I missed an spot and was dropped with no warning. No, there is not more to the story. They explained this is their policy. I work hard, do the right thing and still find myself feeling like a third class citizen. My family believes my name could be the reason and could be discrimination. I don’t know. I just know I hate how I was treated and I sincerely warn others to not go here. Karma will be my vindication but today my pride is bruised. There are no words for how I feel at this moment. No calls, no letters they claim were sent. Either way, a simple call would have confirmed I was ill. Note: I was dropped 2 weeks after my missed appt. 2 Weeks!
