Dr. V was the most narcissistic doctor I've ever had an appointment with.At the start of my appointment I expressed the intensity of how much I was struggling. Yet she ended our appointment by telling me I “look pretty so I must be coping well” completely disregarding what I had shared about the depth of my misery.I shared the experience with my parents & friends and they all were appalled, listening with mouths agape, by the unprofessionalism Dr. V demonstrated. When I told Dr. V that I had been researching my condition and reaching out to esteemed experts to better understand it, she dismissed me before even hearing what I had learned. She smirked and shook her head at the idea that anyone but her could have relevant knowledge, making it known that she saw me as foolish for seeking outside perspectives. She spoke to me not as somebody with expertise but as an individual with personal beliefs, unwilling to acknowledge concerns simply because they did not align with her own biases.
