Dr. Thelma Seimaa Asare, MD

Dr. Asare is amazing! She truly listens, cares deeply about her patients, and makes you feel valued every time you see her. Her kindness, patience, and attention to detail go above and beyond, which is exactly why I continue to come back. She genuinely cares about your overall well being. You can tell she loves what she does, and it makes all the difference.

Has reputation for being arrogant and uncaring, especially towards post menopausal patients. Should have listened! Very upsetting visit, especially from a female physician. Would give a negative star review if possible

She’s the best of the best. I’ve been a mom for 6 years now. She delivered along with Dr. Ackman at the time my twin boys. She makes confident and honest decisions and communicates well. She will always allow you to communicate your concerns and listens. She is very direct because she cares. I’ll never go elsewhere. I told her even when she retires, if I’m ever pregnant again, she will have to come out of retirement one more time for me. Lol

I've been a patient for over 25 years and I just love Dr Asare. She is easy to talk to, takes time to listen and answer my questions she is kind, funny and I always feel comfortable and safe in her care.

Dr Asare doesn’t even deserve 1 star! I have had severe pelvic pain for months, without even an examination, she said it wasn’t a gynecological issue and that I should find another specialist. One test was ordered and when that came back negative, I was dismissed. What kind of doctor doesn’t at least examine a patient and explore other possibilities? Months later, still in severe pain, I am waiting to see another gynecologist.

Dr. Asare is the best! It is always a pleasure to see Dr. Asare when I have an appointment. She has a great demeanor and genuinely seems to care about her patients. When I was in labor with my son, her rotation at the hospital was over, but she stayed late to deliver him. It was an act of kindness I’ll never forget. I don’t live close to the office anymore, but I make the drive because Dr. Asare is more than worth it!

Dr. Asare is my OB/GYN and although she was not the on call doctor from her practice to deliver my twins, she surprised me and came off of her leave and delivered my twins. She was straightforward with me and my son’s father in sharing that I needed to seek therapy as I was dealing with depression and not long after postpartum depression. She named my twin son a name from her village in Nigeria. She is kind but will be honest with you. She is a mother, and very educated in her field. I will always have a special place for her in my life and my sons life.

Very happy with dr asare and GBMC. Would recommend them to anyone!

I love Dr Asare, I have seen her for years. Today, after yet again waiting 45 minutes with no end in sight, I left with the paperwork to transfer to another practice. Why can't they see people on time?

Dr. Asare is kind and funny. She and her staff are easy to deal with. They are usually prompt and Dr. Asare spends time in her office reassuring you about any concerns. She asks how my daughter is (also a patient) and leaves messages on my phone several days after a test has been completed. I would highly recommend her.
