My experience with Dr Benderev has been extremely pleasant. His practice is a well oiled machine to perform the highest quality vasectomy probably in the entire nation. Dr. Benderev is amazing. I have never experienced a dr with as good of bedside as him. Polite, warm, knowledgeable, communicative. 5 star experience from start to finish. Dr. Benderev made this experience the best it could be. He clearly explained everything prior to the procedure. During the procedure he let me know what he was going to do before he did it and he also made small talk throughout the quick procedure so it was over before I knew it. He then went over follow up care. He and his office checked in with me a few times during recovery. Recovery was not to bad for me, never took more than a Tylenol. I highly recommend Dr. Benderev to anyone getting a vasectomy. If you and your spouse are debating vasectomy vs. tubal ligation, GET THE VASECTOMY! The procedure is quick, Dr. Benderev is great, and the recovery is very manageable.

I had originally scheduled a vasectomy with another doctor and the day of my pre-op consult I was so uncomfortable I walked out of the office. A coworker recommended Dr. Benderev and I decided to give it another try. Dr. Benderev provided a completely different experience, he was very personable and thoroughly explained the procedure putting my mind at ease. The day of my procedure I was still a little nervous but the doctor again explained everything that was going to happen and I felt better about it. The air blast numbing thing only feels like a light rubber band snap then I didn’t feel anything else for the rest of the visit. I sat with ice for the next day and everything is healing up nicely. I will recommend Dr. Benderev to anyone considering a vasectomy.

If you are looking for a spot to get a vasectomy this is it. Dr. Benderev completely put me at ease and explained every step along the way so I was not surprised by anything. There was no pain just an odd feeling in a delicate area. Once the procedure was done I was so surprised it went by really quick. The recovery was really simple and pain free just follow the recovery instructions he provides. Fellow dudes, this is the least thing we can do for our ladies. A woman getting her tubes tied is much more invasive and painful then what I went through with doctor Benderev.

I want to make this as clear as possible: Doctor Benderev made my experience as enjoyable as I imagined having a vasectomy could be. Admittedly I was apprehensive, nervous, and even scared. I could feel my heart race as the short elevator ride ended and I made my way down the long hall to his office. Walking inside the receptionist refered to me by name and offered me some Tylenol; not a bad start so far I’ll admit. Next enters the Doc who welcomes me and leads me into a tiny room just inside the door. My pulse quickens, hands and feet begin to sweat slightly but nothing to panic about yet. Then comes the “…drop your pants…“ comment I had been anticipating, followed up with a quick line about “…needing a heating pad…”. We are alone in the intimate setting of the exam room, however the doc and I managed to carry on a wonderful conversation about the movie “Multiplicity” and how he had once met Michael Keaton. He explained every step of the process as we went through it, but honestly I… was trying not to pay attention to the fact my balls were now in the hands of another man, let alone what he was doing to them so the brief trivia and anecdotes were well received. The hype was real and there really are no needles which comes as a relief when you’re think about someone handling metal near your family jewels. When it was all said and done, the doc managed to clock in well under the time I had first anticipated. He then thoroughly explained the steps for aftercare during the next few days/week and had the nurse bring me some juice since there was still a bit of anxiety lifting, and frankly who could say no to some juice? A few more reassurances from the doc with a mention he will call me later ( I was not expecting that ) and I am left with the nurse to handle the post-op instructions. She then explains the testing options required for “confirmation”, choosing the two test kits since I didnt want to travel back to the office. The final parting gift was a small goodie bag complete with home care instructions, ice pack, and even a sucker. My wife picked me up downstairs and we were on the road back home in just under an hour. True to his word, Doctor Benderev called me from his cell phone to follow up, making sure I was still in good spirits and without concerns or questions ( this truly surprised my mother in law, who was not expecting that level of care from a health provider). The Doc again reassured me he was available for any questions and not to hesitate to contact him. I was taken back by the attentive nature of the Doctor and the speed in which the procedure had taken place. I don’t know what I was expecting but I was left with a true feeling of peace of mind. I 100% recommend this procedure to anyone considering it as a means of family planning. I absolutely recommend you use Doctor Benderev for this procedure as well. Start to finish it has been better than I anticipated. My advice from here would be two things: remember the #1 rule(ask the doc if you’ve never heard of it) and lastly ice is your new bestfriend now. If you’re anything like me you didn’t arrive at this choice lightly. It’s a real life event and it should be taken seriously but also with delicate care.
