Dr. Theodore William Nagel, MD

When I learned I had breast cancer and my breast surgeon was telling me about my options for reconstruction, I immediately chose DIEP FLAP over implants, as I felt like this would be a more permanent and natural choice. My breast surgeon recommended Breast Reconstruction Associates and said I couldn’t go wrong with any of their surgeons. I was assigned Dr. Nagel and didn’t look at any other surgeons at this practice or anywhere else. When working with him prior to surgery, I could tell he really cares about the final result. He even had me get another surgery done prior to the DIEP FLAP to fix a hernia (that I didn’t even know I had) so his results would be better. He has a great bedside manner and he has an ipad full of pictures, and you can ask to see pictures of women with your body type that he has performed the surgery on. Everyone in their office was great to work with, and my results are amazing. I had my original surgery and then one “revision”, where he did a bit of… fine tuning. I had a concern on a Sunday after I was released from the hospital and I called their answering service and left a message. I was expecting a nurse or PA to call me, but within maybe 10 minutes he actually called me back. I am very happy with my results, and I even have a flat stomach with no love handles for the first time in my entire life! I have recommended him to many friends in support groups and will continue to do so.

Dr. Nagel is super and surrounds himself with super stars.

I'm sure many cancer survivors feel the same way I did after my mastectomy, like I would never feel normal again but I have to say that Dr. Nagel worked a miracle and even after just four weeks post op of my reconstruction surgery I feel great! The whole staff at his office and the hospital were beyond excellent. Uber caring people and so kind and helpful. I can't express the appreciation I have for the great care provided. I'm forever grateful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Nagel!!! and Sarah, the nurse practitioner also deserves recognition for her excellent care!!! Thank you so much!!! <3

I cannot express how wonderful and gracious he and his staff were to me and my family as I went through my reconstruction and this journey with breast cancer. I had a double mastectomy and Dr. Nagle performed my Diep flap restoration and it looks amazing. Fantastic office staff, very attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend this office as it was highly recommended to me.

Doctor Nagel has an amazing bedside manor and a wonderful way of explaining things in terms that you understand. I’ve always been very modest, especially with Male doctors, but not one time have I ever felt uncomfortable with Dr Nagel. My reconstruction was amazing, I knew what to expect and was very pleased with his work, just finished up my revision and I haven’t looked this good in 20 years!!! He is like the Michelangelo of breast reconstruction!

Through an emotional and frightening diagnosis and post chemo Dr Nagel and his staff were right beside me through every step of my surgery. I always received a return call, text or email. An always professional caring staff. Dr. Nagel is always willing to spend as much time as needed. He is always open to education of processes, explaining processes and answering questions, even when requested to repeat them. Recommendations are made with you as the focus. I appreciate Dr. Nagel as an integral member of my care team. I trust his skills and expertise. I would highly recommend Dr. Nagel and his staff.
