The most professional and compassionate doctor that I have ever had! I have had multiple surgeries and procedures and have had chronic pain for many years. I now have a quality of life!

Great bedside manners and a friendly staff. Has always worked with me and other family with scheduleing appointments. Very helpful. Feel SAFE with his professional knowledge of meds and what I do or do not need. I'm very thankful for him.

My life has definitely improved after being with Dr. Nicholas for the past several months! What he does is greatly scrutinized and the general public has a misconcention about "pain management". But the fact that he is willing to trust me and allow me to take 3 percocet a day has allowed me to enjoy my life and family!! His staff is excellent as well and you will not find a more caring atmosphere!!

The staff was very nice and concern about my back problem, VERY nice dr. good bedside manner. Talks to you in terms i could understand. And gets test that you need to fix problems.

We are so lucky to have Dr. Nicholas on the Outer Banks. He is kind, caring, compassionate a wonderful doctor. People with chronic pain are bot always treated with such dignity and respect. I appreciate his entire staff. You can;t find a more courteous and friendly office anywhere.

I have been receiving treatment for Fibromyalgia from Dr. Nicholas for more than 8 years. He is a very conscientious and caring doctor. I am a nurse and am often leery about doctors. Dr. Nicholas has taken wonderful care of me since my first visit. I consider myself very lucky to have found Dr. Nichols to help me with my disabling condition. I highly recommend him to any person who is experiencing physical pain. I had seen at least 5 doctors who misdiagnosed me by saying I had depression. I am not totally depressed - more frustrated because fibro has limited my ability to perform normal activities without feeling horrible pain. I was even accused of being a "drug seeker" by Dr. Jensen at our local Regional Medical Center. I did NOT want drugs! I just wanted to know why I hurt so much that I had difficulty even getting out of bed. I am unable to work because of this painful disability. I am 60 years old now and wish I could work. When I first saw Dr. Nicholas, I could not even raise my… hands over my shoulders. I receive monthly trigger point injections that have helped me be more mobile. I thank God that I found Dr. Nicholas who was knowledgeable enough to diagnose and treat me properly. I hope that this information will help other people who have Fibromyalgia or any other pain disorder.

Have been treated by Dr. Nicholas for over 5 years. Find him to be very trustworthy and he pays attention to my concerns and questions and has always been completely honest with his answers and behavior. I think anyone looking for a Pain Management doctor should go see him. He has always helped me in any way possible. I cannot say enough good things about him and the staff he employs.

To show you how much I appreciate Dr. Nicholas I drive almost an hour and a half one way to be treated by him. He is a very caring and cautious doctor. You do not have to worry about waiting in the waiting room for any length of time. He will assist anyway possible and really cares about his patients. You can tell that he wishes he could do even more to help at times. A+!
