Theodore (ted) D. Smith, DO

Dr Smith is a good Dr when u can talk to your Dr n he listens, you will be in good hands .

I've seen Theodore on a couple of occasions and its never been a good experience. He does not take the time to try and figure out whats going on. Went in for neck and back pain after tweaking my back playing with my kids, two minutes later he's out the door. Asked for a note for work for light duty and he said he doesn't do that anymore, something about dealing with the company. He said, "it's all or nothing!" I said, man, light duty for me is working on the computer as opposed to full duty which hurts the heck out of my neck and prevents me from the full range of motion while I'm driving the company truck. Theodore's quote, " there is conclusive evidence" that motion/movement will not aggravate the injury. Not safe Theodore, The Department of Transportation has conclusive evidence of that! A guy just wanting to get out of work right! His rapport is horrible and I will be changing doctors immediately. He barley looks at you when your speaking. Eye contact doctor, eye… contact!

Dr Smith was great when I first came to him years ago. The last few visits were horrible; he simply did not listen. I am not one to rush to the doctor but after 3 months with a terrible headache I had to do something. His diagnosis was allergies and he prescribed steroids. I've never had any allergies in {my} over 50 yearsand told him that. His response? "exactly" What??! Is the middle of summer a big allergy season? I'll just take my IB and look elsewhere.

Dr. Smith has been the primary care physician for my husband and me for the past 12 years. When his office on Brodie closed, he moved to the Kyle Texas branch of Austin Regional Clinic. There is never a problem getting an appointment and the amount of "wait" time has always been 5 minutes or less. The staff is professional and pleasant. Dr. Ted always takes the time to talk with me about whatever issue I have. He cares about his patients' well being and encourages discussion of any problems in other areas of his patients' lives.
