Dr. Theresa Marie Leak-Gonzalez, MD

First, if I wanted to sit next to someone who spent all their time on a computer--I'd visit my granddaughter. That's what my visits were like--I'd sit and she'd play with her computer--I also feel she mis-diagnosed me and put me on a med which caused me to lose 28 lbs. and brought on pneumonia--then she told me I'd need to see a specialist--I went from underactive-to overactive thyroid in a matter of 9 months and now am still dealing with these issues--needless to say--I left her before she really did something bad for my health.

I have had Dr. Gonzalez as my PCP for several years now and have not had a good experience. I find that her bedside manner is poor and have not felt comfortable talking with her. She tends to make me feel like an inconvenience for bring questions. Also, as a nurse, I know what elements need to be assessed in the yearly physical of a woman of reproductive years (such as menstrual regularity, etc) or in any person and have repeatedly noticed that these are missing. In the past few years, I have been diagnosed with a complicated disorder that had required multiple consults with specialists and have not had a good experience going through Dr. Gonzalez. She has given the referrals but does not seem to follow up or understand the condition, which makes it difficult for her to be the primary person in charge of my care. She is a nice woman, but is not who I would recommend as a primary care. A family member has gone to her, as well, and had a similar experience.

Found her competent, friendly and accomodating - bedside manner has improved since 1st appointment.

Would not see her again. Did not diagnose my problems correctly.
