Dr. Theresa Leigh May-Hartle, DO

My co-worker is pregnant with her first child and went to this so called Dr. for her OB care. This crazy wench told my co-worker her child has a genetic disorder and that she needed to abort her baby! My co-worker was of course emotionally devastated by this news. This wack job told her she had to make an appointment with another doctor to have the baby aborted. She went to a different doctor that was appalled at what this wackadoo doctor had said to my friend. She has since learned that her baby does not need to be aborted! Someone please take this moronic, horrible excuse for a doctors license before she does tells another female that she must about her viable baby! Unfortunately I cannot give a less than 1 star review.

I went to Dr. May-Hartle for 6 years. She was my first OB-GYN so I didn't know any different. Every time I went I had to look at my check out sheet to internet search what she had done during the pelvic exam or what, if anything, was wrong.This office still uses metal speculums (plastic is the new standard for many reasons). The assistant always made me feel uncomfortable - both during the pelvic exam and also because they walked out while I was still tilted back. I was having hair loss issues due to a change in b.c. pills. She was not sympathetic - telling me it was probably from my diet and that we all lose hair. I lost 50% of my hair. She did not suggest running any labs, seeing another doctor, or alternative birth control options - it was pills or nothing, even after inquiring about IUDs and other methods. I since switched to another doctor and have received amazing service. I have had labs, referrals, instructions to cease b.c. pills, and a new non-hormonal IUD. When I ceased… taking the pills, my hair almost immediate stopped falling out - just as I had suspected. As another said, if you mention pain, she has an attitude that you must be an addict or something - with no follow up of testing to rule out health issues. If you want a doctor that will work with you to form a treatment plan; that cares about your concerns; that will disclose all information; that will make sure you are getting the best service possible (even if that means a referral) - please look elsewhere. I don't want anybody to have to go through something similar when serious issues arise.

I really enjoyed my visit with Dr. May-Hartle. She made me feel very comfortable during my exam and took time to discuss pregnancy with me. I felt comfortable talking to her about my health and would recommend her as an DO.

The only good thing going for this doctor is her staff is very friendly and helpful, but when you don't have a doctor that knows what she is talking about none of that matters. You wait forever just to see the doctor for maybe 15 minutes. I have had endometriosis for over 4 years I moved so I had to find a new doctor so I went to her. She said I couldn't have endometriosis because I am in pain everyday and I should only have pain around my period but if you go to any website it can be only around period or EVERYDAY she treated me like I am just a pill pusher and i just wanted help. She doesn't believe its endometriosis but she wont do any test to find out why I am in so much pain. Another thing is they didn't even have in their charts what they had give me even after i had called and talked to a nurse more then once about the medication,and I made appt it didnt get put in computer so when I showed up I had to come in another day because they messed up.
