Condescending and rude. Does not listen to the patient.

This doctor is putting patients lives at risk… Forcing high-risk patients to go into their practice rather than utilizing telemedicine to fulfill a simple prescription that could literally save a life. This office absolutely refused, and the doctor will not make any phone calls when literally ever other doctors office is able to....

Patients look to their doctor for professional medical advice, but they also look to them for genuine compassion and concern. Instead, this doctor seems more concerned about how quickly he can get through an appointment. Each visit is a carbon copy of the last and, if there are any new challenges, the standard response is to submit for a referral to someone else, even before any testing or investigation to determine if a specialist is necessary or what specialist that referral should be for. Yes, he is knowledgeable and may well be sending his patients to the correct specialist, but it feels more like an assembly line. He is strickly a twice-a-year doctor who orders the routine lab tests and enters the results in your patient file for you to discover long after your visit by searching your online profile. I need a doctor who is my advocate, who is genuinely interested in my health and in helping me to proactively manage it. I do not need someone who makes me feel like just another… patient file to fill out and another insurance payment submission.

i discover a copy of a registered letter addressed to my mother. sadly she passed away a few months ago from complications of DEMENTIA.....i am reviewing this doctor because as a medical professional, it should have been realized or even tested for a brain malfunction. if you have a patient for awhile and they suddenly start acting differently, wouldnt you suggest that maybe they are having brain issues? to me this shows how unobservant they are. i know doctors arent gods but when you put your trust in someone and they ban you from their office, it shows lack of sympathy among other things.

Doesn’t want you to question his judgement or investigate your health issues. Not concerned with overall well-being of his patient. Doesn’t diagnose many illnesses but refers to a specialist within The Physician’s Associate group for things an Internal Medicine Doctor should treat. It’s referrals and bloodwork, that’s what you get here along with his apparent lack of concern and poor attitude.

I am a patient of his for two years now. I work in medical field and Dr. Pettit is the doctor I would recommend to friends and family. He is knowledgeable in his area of expertise and took his time to describe what my symptom could look like for other physicians, but really not. Thank you Dr. Pettit!

I've been seeing Dr. Pettit for a long time and as others have said, he often seems condescending, getting refills for your prescriptions if it's a transfer from another doctor, even if you've been on them for years, is like pulling teeth (just regular medications, not controlled substances). He often will send people to specialists over very minor things that he could easily do himself. Misinterprets lab results, then offers unknowledgable/ignorant advice on the matter. He doesn't like being questioned when he's made his mind up, even if he is incorrect about something. His staff are nice enough in person, though they seem a bit harsh and stressed out over the phone.

I have been seeing Dr. Pettit for over 6 years now and I have never had any issues with him as a doctor or his office staff. If anything they have been very helpful in making appointments on short notice and when I see Dr. Pettit he has always given me and my husband the best of care. He is very kind, he is caring, and he pays attention to our needs. I have suggested to many of my friends and co-workers looking for a doctor who cares and knows what he is doing they need to see him. I have never in the 6 years have an issue not getting my meds refilled they have done so and I did not have to go to the office first, I can call the office and let them know I need refills and they send the prescriptions information to my pharmacy. Dr. Pettit has also referred me to other doctors and I have had a great relationship with them as well. Nothing but GOOD things to say about him and his office staff. Thank you for taking such good care of me and my husband over the years.

I just wrote a review on line On him I am completely appalled at the treatment I received today at my appointment with Dr. Pettit. I called at 7:45 am to get an appointment and was given one for 11:15 am. I had several questions to ask in him in regards to my health and issues I am having including the main issue my appointment was about. As he diagnosed me I began to tell him other issues that I, indeed, thought could have been related to what was going on and Dr. Pettit had the nerve to inform me that I was a fill in and he more or less does not have time to deal with anything else I needed to discuss. So I just let it go at that, asked for a refill on my meds that needed I and left the office. I have never been treated with disrespect and disconcern in regatds to my health before. When a patient comes to their physicians office and pays for their visit, the doctor should take the time to listen and be sympathetic to that patients problems. I dread every appointment since I started… coming here. I feel he has no regard for the care of his patients . For every appointment I've been at he has given me 5 mins or less. He refused to look up my past records history when asked to from another doctor within this group. And he said did I need a refill on a medication I never taken. He sends out more referrals that are simple things he could have probably taken care of himself since he is in family medicine. My suggestion to him is take the time to get to know his patients, their health history and listen to them with concerns. I have been the physician group for the last 15 years but under the care of another doctor who took very well care of me until he left the group. I would have thought the transition to a new physician within this same group would been easy since all my records are avaiable. But Dr. Pettit has made it nothing but difficult for me to appreciate him as a doctor.

BEWARE OF GREEDY MONEY HUNGRY DOCTOR, WHOS ONLY INTERESTED IN COLLECTING YOUR INSURANCE MONEY! If you have a long term health condition stay away from this corrupted practice. They made it real clear they are in business for a paycheck only! They dont care about your lively hood what so ever. Im lucky and blessed to have great health. I only have asthma, and from time to time use a rescue inhaler while im in the gym. Im very active and fit and use to work in a pharmacy. So i know its obviously real easy to just fax a Refill prescription in. This drug is NOT a narcotic - its a freaking rescue inhaler to breathe. But apparently with Dr. Pettits receptionist as healthy as i am i HAVE to come in on an appointment every single time for a Refill prescription. I am Completely healthy NOT sick at all, but Dr. Pettit wants my insurance money...so basicly i have to go out my way to see him, just to get a rescue inhaler. In exchange for him to collect his $500+ from my medical insurance. When he… can easily just fax CVS a Refill prescription. And guess what everybody there are doctors across the state that ACTUALLY write or fax in Refill prescriptions WITHOUT seeing there patients. But this greedy money hungry office is trying to justify why they have to see you each time to charge your insurance just to get a prescription? What happened to seeing a dr. When your actually sick? Furthermore, to make matters worst, Dr. Pettits receptionist tells me to go some where else if i dont appreciate this practice wasting peoples time, for a quick buck. Do yourself a favor and DONT COME HERE!
