Dr. Tho Quy Truong, MD

I am on the committee at my workplace that votes to decide what insurance to offer our employees, and I hope to continue with Kaiser JUST FOR DR. TRUONG!!

She needs to get her training again on how to treat patient. I have never come across such unprofessional doctor. She is a stigma for medical service, does not follow up, no response if her diagnosis comes back as negative in tests. Guess she doesn’t like to be told by science Tests that she can not play god. She came highly recommended but we have been throughly disappointed with her behaviour. It was sheer waste of money as insurance did not cover the visit with her

She is a kind and caring doctor who knows her medicine. I highly recommend her. She takes the time to understand her patients and works to find the best treatment .

Dr. Truong has been my rheumatologist and immunologist for 6 years, and I can't tell you how grateful I am. I have had a severe autoimmune disease since childhood (have been told I had lupus, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and after a biopsy, myositis which is inflammation of the muscle, and numerous odds and ends with weird problems and blood tests). She is really smart and she is the only doctor I have had who I feel has a grasp of all the stuff I've been through. Except for a couple of flares over 6 years, I finally feel I have more control of my disease than it does me.

Dr. Truong while she comes off helpful at first, likes things to be cut and dry. Very demeaning and unhelpful if her first solution does not work. I find it very hard that an establishment such as national jewish would let the behavior of her and her PA Anne continue.

I have been in and out of doctors offices for many years trying to find a doctor who would spend the time to talk to me and try to understand my symptoms and concerns. I finally found this doctor who just took the time to listen and explain things and not just prescribe a another medicine or do another test. I was very happy with her.

As Dr. Truong walked into my room, she began her introduction with a 10 minute summary of what the hospital could NOT do for me and what type of tests they were INCAPABLE of running. I commented that it was a very negative way to begin our appt. and that I would like to focus on the tests that they were capable of running and that could hopefully give me some answers as to why I had been sick for almost 3 years. She then proceeded to tell me she was not a "warm and fuzzy doctor" and that I needed to know the facts. I reiterated that I was at NJH to get the facts but would like to concentrate on the tests I would be taking. At the end of our appt, she told me that it would take 2-3 weeks to get the results back from my blood tests. Well, after 2 business days, I contact NJH to switch doctors and just happened to ask if any of my blood tests were back. I was told by a nurse that the majority of the results were back (if not all of them). I asked if I could get the results interpreted… by Dr. Truong but was told she was on vacation for 1 week. At that point, there were 2 issues- given Dr. Truong's experience, how could she think that the blood tests were going to take 2-3 weeks vs. 2 days; and, knowing that she would be out of the office for the following week, and that I had been sick for so long, why didn't she share my file with a colleague in order to provide me with the results as soon as possible. So, I spent the week working with a Patient Care Representative attempting to find another Dr. in her department that could give me some answers. Unfortunately, due to legal reasons, this was not a possibility. At that point, I was promised Dr. Truong would call me with my results on Monday (her first day back). Today is Tuesday, and after numerous phone calls and messages, Dr. Truong has still not contacted me. Obviously, it is clear that she does not care about her patients. I wrote this in the hopes that I could spare someone else this type of experiencePS - I just received a call that Dr. Truong will not give me my results since I switched to another doctor. My appt with the other doctor is in 3 weeks. Really??

I am a deathly ill person, nobody helped me, couldn't figure out what is going on with me. Everybody gave up on me and have been letting me suffer. THIS PHYSICIAN DOES EVERYTHING FOR YOU, TREATS YOU LIKE A FAMILYMEMBER AND SPENT SO MUCH TIME IN RARE CASES TO GET TO THE BUTTOM OF YOUR DISEASE! AMAZING, AND I AM THANKFUL, 3Y I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SUCH A PHYSICIAN. SHE IS SOOO SMART AND REALLY TRYS EVERYTHING TO HELP AND CARYING AND HAS A VERY GOOD HEART! NUMBER ONE FOR ME***********THANKS DR. TROUNG!
