Dr. Thomas Badin, MD

Amazing doctor! He gives you his full attention not only in medicine but takes the time to ask about your family and really tries to get to know you. He is very thorough with his medical practice to make sure he covers all possibilities of treatment and pre-op steps. He prays for a speedy recovery which I respect very much. Lastly, his staff is very friendly. Thank you, Dr. Badin and staff, for being great.

Took more time than most doctors to examine me completely and recommend improvements that I had not thought about doing.

I accompanied my aunt to an appointment with Dr Badin, and she prepped me by saying that he spends a lot of time looking at his computer, and that the appointments take a long time. She had been going to him for many years. NOTHING would have prepared me for this experience!!! There were no other patients in the waiting room (nor in fact in the rest of the office for the entirety of our visit, which took nearly TWO hours). Dr Badin appeard slightly disheveled, which I would have accepted if he seemed even the slightest bit competent. He spent the entire visit looking at his computer and slowly scrolling the mouse without even looking up. He gave her the results of a CT scan (taken the previous week), and his conclusion was faulty. When I pointed that out to him he said "good point", but continued to refer to that issue as the cause of her symptoms. He did not ask her any questions, and did not examine her, except to listen to her chest for less than 1 second front and back, and take… her blood pressure. Her blood pressure was high (as it was the previous week, when we inquired), though he failed to discuss that with her, and it turns out she'd run out of her medication before the previous visit! What sort of a primary care physician gets a significantly high BP reading without questioning her about her meds?? You might wonder how an appointment can take one hour and fifty minutes, with the doctor in the room for the entire time, and somehow not end up with a history or an examination--the answer is that the man spends a LONG LONG time looking at his computer. Eventually he tried to dictate a letter to the specialist he was going to refer her to (he had to switch the type of specialist referral once I pointed out that he was wrong about the CT scan), but he really couldn't dictate a letter because he had nothing to tell the specialist (having not gathered any information via a history or physical exam). In the end, he took her hand and prayed with her. I've seen this mentioned by other people in their reviews (some positive, some negative). My aunt didn't object to the praying, but I found it unusual. Again, I wouldn't have objected to praying with a consensual adult, if he was even the slightest bit competent. At one point during our LONG visit, the receptionist came in with the phone (a landline on a loooonnng cord), and asked if he wanted to sort out the arrangements for another patient. He took the phone and discussed that patient in front of us (using first and last names), in order to specifically arrange that patient's transit from a nursing home to an appointment with a specialist several weeks in the future. That was certainly a HIPPA violation, but also seemed like something that another member of the staff might have managed, since the receptionist, a medical assistant, and a third staff member were working in the office, without any other patients. When we left his office I called my primary care physician's office and got her an appointment the following week. Now that she's seen him she realizes how little she was getting from Dr Badin, and she understands what it means to be in good hands. When we got home I looked up his license etc, and realized that he'll need to renew his boards in Feb 2020. I can't imagine him passing those, so the community will be safer then. Meanwhile, don't even think about going to the doctor!

My wife and I have been attended by Dr. Baden for over five years. The role of the physician in a managed health care environment is difficult and to be practicing independently is a challenge. He does an excellent job of reviewing and maintaining health care records. He will also respond to patient health problems with timely diagnosis and a caring attitude. He uses evidence based diagnostic procedures and answers patient questions. He even called a cardiologist to speak with me when I questioned the need for a medication. If you are looking for a physician that turns up on time and has you out the door in twenty minutes....Dr. Badin is not your best choice. If you are pursuing a physician with high intellegence that will thoroughly do his best to understand and treat you...he is an excellent choice.

I waited 20 minutes before I saw the doctor, but he was worth it!!! I have never had a doctor who spent so much time with me during a physical exam in my lifetime. He was kind and compassionate. I found my new Family doctor

Wonderful caring doctor

He's Fantastic. A Super Human being. Loving, caring and very inspirational. Someone to be admired, and other Drs to follow his pattern of his method of caring for patients, especially showing concern and caring for the severely handicap. He's their "Angel" and there's no doubt about that!

It was a true blessing to have Doctor Thomas Badin do my has bands pre- op exam. He continued caring and visiting my husband in the hospital till he was released. He was there to give me advice and listen to me when I was feeling overwhelmed. It is great t o find a doctor that still gives time to his patients and is so knowledgeable. I wish our insurance would cover him so we can have him as our family doctor.

Dr. Badin is a caring doctor and he takes his time with his patient. In addition, the staff is generally very good and professional. However, for two years I keep getting billed for extra tests that were given me that I never asked for but got charged heavily for, i was overall healthy and simply went in for an annual physical check up. I was told to take additional exams and tests in the office, performed by in house technicians, all of which came back negative, yet was never informed that the tests may not be covered by insurance. I felt the least they should have done is explain beforehand that the tests may not be covered and give the patient an option to decline the tests, instead of giving the impression that the tests were required. I still recommend them but just wanted other patients to be aware of it.

Been seeing Dr Thomas Badin (we call him Dr. Tom because he's like family) for 17 years, and you'll never find a more caring doctor than this man! Also his staff is wonderful (Elizabeth, Dianna!)
