Dr. Thomas Winfield Bender, MD

Had an 8:00 Appointment with him (which is his first appointment of the day) and at 8:30 I was still waiting and the front desk said they do not know what goes on in the back and was of no help. Since I also meet with clients by appointment, I could not just hang around until he came in. I understand things happen and you can be late, however, I did show up early so there is no reason why they kept my 40.00 copay and won't refund it. My next step is to file a complaint with CMS

Very rude and acted like he could care less. Prescribed me the same medication I told him previously done nothing for me or my condition and told me he’d see me back in 2 months to see how it was working after i just told him I had been applying it for YEARS and it did not seem to help which was the WHOLE purpose of me coming back to try and find a different solution.

Check-in was fairly easy and the wait time wasn’t bad. Dr Bender and the staff were professional and nice.

Dr Bender is an excellent dermatologist, always professional, always thorough and takes the time each visit to answer all our questions. All his staff are kind, cheerful, ready to help from checking in, during the exam, retail and to checkout. Special thank you to Sara & Ashley (derm techs) & Aundrea (clinic supervisor).

He was a total waste of my time and money , he was only in the room hardly a minute and did nothing.

I went to their office for skin cancer removal. I had 2 procedures which the second one was do y Dr. Bender. He did not make feel very comfortable as a patient and I decided to go elsewhere for treatment. The next Dr, I went to requested a copy of my Biopsy report to forward to another Surgeon and was ghosted, The Surgeon also requested a copy and was also ghosted. When I went for my appointment, I was told the situation and he recommended I go straight over and get it myself as soon as I got out of there and I did. I filled out the release of info paper and about 5 minutes later the desk girl handed me the biopsy report of the second surgery I'd had. I told her I need the one for all 4 biopsy's she insisted that was all that was in my file. As I was walking out I thought "NO THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!" I went back in and told her I wanted my entire file. She tried to hand me another paper to fill out identical to the one I had filled out 5 minutes earlier and I told her "NO.… I've had 2 surgery's here, don't tell me I only have one result in my file, and I just filled that out." 5 minutes later she produced my entire file and the very first page was a copy of the entire 4 biopsy's I'd had done! She BLATANTLY LIED RIGHT TO MY FACE! So be careful of who your dealing with.

My husband for over 20 years had a brown mole on top of scalp fingertip sized and tried for years to get him to get checked but he wouldn’t. He mysteriously had another issue where he was itching and I had to reschedule 4 times and finally my husband went. We went In and Dr Bender saw and immediately said he didn’t like it and wanted to biopsy. My husband was very hesitant as he does not like needles. Dr Bender very kindly but firmly told my husband he felt it would be in his best interest and he wanted to see my husband “live”. That went straight through me. He was able to talk to my husband and get him in a good way to get biopsy done. I give all glory to God first but God sent us there and because of the insistence and care of Dr Bender and his nurse the biopsy was done and it did in fact save my husbands life as it was melanoma stage 2 the deadly kind that was also the kind that spreads. He got us in Immediately to Dr Howard and plastic surgeon and they removed a 5cm area and… lymph nodes and Praise God we are on other side as reports are clean and all cancer is gone and I’m ever thankful to God and to Dr Bender and the other drs for caring for my husband and now we can enjoy life!!!!!! May God bless Dr Bender and staff and what he does.
