Dr Tom Bilko saved my star players career by allowing him to play thru the playoffs with a great support brace that was covered and light cushioned. This put off surgery until after the season because the injury was not going to get worse. The prior orthopedic surgeon put a cast on and was very conservative and not sports minded. He received a full basketball scholarship to a Division I program. It changed this young man’s life. First class Dr. Bilko!

Dr Bilko is a butcher! I had meniscus surgery where my leg was normal in size going into surgery and three times it's size coming out (which is not normal). After surgery Dr Bilko I called him and he never returned my call to address my concerns the first night after my surgery; the bloody bandage that fell off from the weight of the draining fluid when it was suppose to remain intact on until my first post op appointment a few days later. It was bleeding and draining fluid for a week after surgery. I could not straighten my leg, and my patella was stuck, where I was unable to walk for 6-months after surgery. I had Physical Therapy for 6-months no improvements. Because of my new limp and being off balance it caused me subsequent back problems. I had to have a second surgery 10-months later with another unnamed Doctor and the recovery was immediate. Second surgery was unlike the first in every way I could walk right after surgery, No swelling, bandage stayed intact for one… week, and he supplied new state of the art equipment. Dr Bilko supplied me with old antiquated equipment for post op care that was not useful. He sees his patients in a business office with a secretary, instead of a patient room with a nurse.I would not recommend this doctor, in fact run in the opposite direction.
