Dr. Thomas Busick, Md

Dr. Busick was my dermatologist in Fort Worth TX for the past 12 years. I really hated to see him move to Washington state! He is sorely missed here in Texas. I consider him as one GREAT dermatologist and am happy for the patients in Vancouver to have such a wonderful and patient friendly doctor at their service!!

AVOID Busick at all cost!!! Rude, unprofessional, unknowledgeable! Rushed us out the there, gave my husband the same topical solution I assured him he had already multiple times & didn’t help the problem. His answer to ongoing rash problem was “let’s just hope, it’s not going to come back”- no treatment offered! And then he spitted our a serious diagnoses you can’t diagnose without any swap or blood test! Horrible! If you value your health, find another medical professional, because he is NOT!!!

Today was my husband’s first visit with Dr. Busic. We were so pleased with the kind and professional treatment we received from both the Doctor and his staff. The Dr. Busick’s exam was thorough and he answered all our questions with patience and concern. We are very pleased with the care we received from Dr. Busick. This is definitely a 5 star Doctor and staff.

Dr. Busick has seen me for several years. As well as taking care of my dermatology problems, he has, on occasion, brought other medical problems that I had to my attention. I have been to other dermatologists in other cities. Dr. Busick is the first one who actually seems like a doctor, rather than a cosmetologist.

In my first visit to Dr. Busick in early 2012 during that exam, he saw what he felt was a melanoma. As he quoted to me, "If this is what I think it is, we will send results to a fellow surgeon, who became Dr Ducic, to take care of. When the results came back positive, all steps were put in place by Dr. Busick to get this removed by that surgeon who then set me up with Dr. Deen at Texas Oncology. The message here is Dr. Busick's diligence created this flow of events and almost 4 years later, no melanoma reoccurrence. KUDOS to him and his staff.

Too many staff members present during routine exam. Also, they seem to be awfully young, inexperienced and could improve their bedside manner...

Overall, Dr. Busick is a nice (and attractive) doctor. Sometimes he is patient and listens well. Other times he is impatient, dismissive, and acts frustrated by my concerns. His office staff is great, but his medical assistants are young and seem inexperienced.

Dr. Busick is one of the best doctors in Texas in his training, patient care and compassion. He saved my husband's ear (basil cell carcinoma) and evaluated my mother, carefully explaining which things should be attended to and which are best left alone because they are basically normal, non-cancerous places. If some folks find it difficult to get an appointment, it is because he is sought for his expertise. Be patient, it is worth the wait. Then schedule your follow-up appt for 6 mos. or a year in case you need it.

It takes three months to schedule an appointment and it is impossible to schedule sibling groups together. He is great at what he does but it is a difficult process.
