I had good experience with this provider for my knee back in 2006. Since there was a such a great lapse between my surgery and then following up 15 years later for recurring issues, there were no records on file. I must note that he did a great job and I had no issues until a couple of years ago. When I tried to explain the surgery performed, of course he could not remember, understandable. I misnamed the surgery and so he denied having done the surgery. I was offended and hurt by how he acted. It was not a complaint about my previous surgery and I was pleased with the surgery, but if you are not an athlete currently, I guess there is nothing in it for him. He was very caring at the time of my surgery and I thought I would go back, to get advice. I am so disappointed, he didn't even order follow up after giving me an order for PT.

Dr. Carter repaired my 14-year-old sons ACL. Utilized the hamstring since his growth plate was still open. Very informative before and after the surgery. He even called us the day after surgery to check on him. Had lots of choices of surgeons, but we were 100% right going with Dr. Carter and his staff! Highly recommend!!!

The doctor dose not have very good bead side manner . He think he the best and knows more then you or any other doctors! I came to him after having a work injury that a mother doctor messed up. So he had to fix my acl and meniscus . Well first went well then I blew it out fast . So back for another where it was all my fault I need to lose weight. Then a few years later it happens one more time . So my fault this time as well and was told if this did not tack I need a full knee replacement! Well here we are 8 years later and my knee hurts worse the the first time . And I’m sure it’s shoot and need it fixed . So I’m looking for a new doctor at one time he may have been top of his game but . I say look for a better doctor one how is more willing to talk and listen to you . And you don’t have to wait an hours to see and go to his pt office !

I've had my entire world turned upside down by an unnecessary surgery performed by Dr. Thomas R. Carter. This surgery has left me maimed and unable to perform basic daily tasks. My livelihood and marriage have suffered because of this. Dr. Carter performed two separate surgeries. The first surgery was to clean up scar tissue on my left bicep. Years later I went in for the same procedure to be performed on my right bicep. I came out of surgery with a completely unwanted and unnecessary distal clavical resection, where 8mm of bone was shaved from my collar bone. This type of surgery was never discussed and has caused over 3 years of excruciating pain. This surgery has caused instability and drooping in my shoulder. After surgery the doctor recommended 8 months to heal and to return for a follow up. 8 months later, after the pain continued, the doctor cancelled my appointment, the day of and told me to get a second opinion. Not only did this doctor perform an unwanted surgery that left me… disabled, but he made no attempt to correct the situation and went as far as to discredit me to other doctors and members of his medical team.

ASU student with a moderate meniscus tear from basketball and longboarding. Dr. Carter did great work. Prompt surgery and the cause of pain was removed. Its now five months later I am back to running at 95% my original capacity five days a week. Stellar job and smooth recovery.

Dr. Carter is the one to see for knee issues...I feel in good hands when in his care.

Dr. Carter was informative on every step of the process (shoulder surgery), and exuded a great deal of confidence. Which gave me confidence in him. I'd highly recommend him to anyone seeking an orthopedic surgeon.

I've been seeing Dr Carter for over 20 years. Top notch surgeon and diagnostician. His beside manner has greatly improved in the past couple of decades. He's allowing his natural sense of humor to show these days.
