Dr. Thomas Laighton Carter, MD

Probably the worst experience with a PCP.He did not even look at me but sent a newly graduated doctor. Then he showed up and got upset because I was trying to make sense of my symptoms and his poor suggestions.Never again.

Intentional Vicious and Malicious report, no exam or proof.

. There were no exams, test, work-ups indicating any of the claims Dr. Carter made about Ms. Fenton's health, A reasonable assessment of a patient would include some exam or test results prior to a diagnosis. The patients rights was violated and this report filed with the DMV was with the intent to harm. Abuse of Position.. Dr. Carter is in Breach of Ethics, HIPPA, Patient Rights and Civil Rights. Dr.Carter failed as a Doctor, he made unsubstantiated claims about the patient without any test results or Doctors examination.. PS, Dr. Carters RPN Michelle Carter as recent as March 24, 2017 examined and tested Ms. Fenton found Ms. Fenton to be more than capable with no indications of the claims of confusion and helplessness as noted by Dr. Thomas L. Carter, she told Dr. Carter that she disagreed with his assessment but since she works for him, he refused to allow her to sign the DMV Paperwork declaring Ms. Fenton Healthy alert, physically and Mentally well.

I haven't been back to Dr. Carter for a little while but he's always attentive and takes action when necessary. There are two things Dr. Carter doesn't do; he doesn't over prescribe when unnecessary and doesn't treat patients as children telling them what they want to hear rather than what is necessary. He cares about his patients, he's great with following up after appointments and will be the first to tell you to call in for a referral if necessary without scheduling an unnecessary appointment.

Found him very robotic, arrogant and not very empathetic.

I ADORE Dr. Carter and his office staff!RE: Office Particulars:1) When I call a live person picks up the phone (gasp!). I have always been able to secure an appointment quickly (within 2 or 3 days) and have also been able to get in faster if I'm actually sick-sick.2) There is parking! (It supposedly costs $2 but I never carry cash and they don't take cards)3) I can go directly downstairs for blood tests and I don't have to travel somewhere else.Regarding the care he provides:1) HE ACTUALLY LISTENS TO ME!!! He takes my concerns seriously. 2) I feel comfortable enough with him to talk to him about challenging subjects (for me anyway)3) I have NEVER felt rushed. He makes sure I get out all of my questions.4) Follow up care is SUPERB - he actually called me about an hour after my last appointment to double check something.YES - I absolutely recommend him :) We moved across town and he's now 25 miles from home (which makes for a 45-50 commute sometimes) but I won't change PCP's… because I think the world of him. I love that he's "young" and not condescending. When I see him I feel like I am with a peer and not with a disapproving parent-type figure who's been at their job too long.
