Pregnant with my first child I assumed prenatal care included more than just "making sure the baby is ok". Either I'm wrong or these doctors couldnt care less. I've gotten one measurement, a half hearted guess about my babies sex and, zero guidance regarding pregnancy diet (foods to avoid) in the 20 weeks (I am now 26w) I have been a patient of this doctor. I know my time is up when the doctor stands up and places his pen back in his pocket, not when he gives me the opportunity to communicate about my concerns or needs. I quickly ask "so everything looks ok then?" as the doctor leaves the room and I am sent to the front desk to make another appointment for the next month. I dread my appointments here, no part of this has been fun or exciting for me and I leave each month feeling more confused than when I arrived. Webmd has been more helpful.
