Dr. Thomas Marvinjr Chandler JR., MD

I have had 5 appointments over the span of a year. My first visit, Chandler appeared with what appeared to be “students.” He spoke with them continuously, but only acknowledged a 3rd body, not a “patient.” In the dictionary, under the word RUDE, it says: See Dr. Chandler’s staff! They do not answer the phone during “clinic” hours, but don’t say what hours those are. They have NEVER answered messages. The waiting room is usually full. Most people grumble that they have been waiting “forever.” Dr. Chandler “set up” my BIPAP MACHINE, supposedly, but there was never any follow-up by him. Is it operating properly? How would a patient know if it was incorrectly set up? Imagining that most people using CPAP or BIPAP machines are probably over 50, and likely to have other medical problems, it seems that NOT treating patients as people with medical problems seems a waste of years studying specialized medicine was a waste of Chandler’s time. Why earn a degree and not use it? Even if Chandler… was the best pulmonologist in the universe, if staff won’t pick up the phone or return calls, pretty soon patients will be complaining AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Office staff does not uphold a level of professionalism that is to be expected or desired. Arriving at the specified time is not good enough for them. They demand you arrive at some nonchalant made up time that only they know and can guess. Hard to perform if the goal line moves without your knowledge or effective communication with should be the standard of care. Very unprofessional.

I can't really comment on how good or bad the Dr. is as I have called and left three messages on their appointment line. So far no reply. Says a lot about their commitment and service.
