Total knee replacement surgery that has left me in severe pain despite two rounds of physical therapy. Surgery worsened the problem instead of fixing it. I knew from day one that I made a big mistake. Trying to find another surgeon to help me.

Dr Gautsch is fantastic. I had been told 12 years ago I needed knee replacement, but many friends had surgery and most spent 3 -6 months recovering. I looked at many other options such as stem cell therapy etc. Then in my research I came across Dr. Gautsch, I went for an initial meeting, and knew before I left the office, I wanted him to do my surgery. I went in at 6am, left walking out of the surgery center at 1pm, got into the car and had my daughter and wife drive me for some lunch. I arrived home and walked by myself up 14 stairs to get into my house. I had a walker I used one time, and never again used it. At physical therapy they are amazed at my recovery as they had never seen Dr Gautsch's patients before. In my first week I had more mobility than several patients 5 and 6 weeks after surgery by other doctor's. After the 2nd physical therapy visit, I drove myself, and now 4 weeks to the day I drove 200 miles today for work. I am 72 years old and able to do things I… could not do for the past 12 years. I have 128 degrees range of motion already and still getting better. I can't say enough good about Dr Gautsch and his procedure. I am so very happy I found him in all my research, and I would not hesitate to get the other knee done tomorrow by him if I needed to do so. From my first visit with Dr.Gausch I knew he was the surgeon I wanted to do my knee. Everyone on his staff is professional. I felt reassured after talking with him,he answered all my questions. just had a total knee replacement by Dr. Gautsch 1 week ago. this was the best decision I have ever made. the surgery was quick and with very little pain. I was walking with no assistance, cane or walker within 36 hrs. 1 week out and have most of my mobility back and can walk without a limp and with no pain.

My sister chose Dr. Gautsch after meeting with several orthopedic surgeons for her knee replacement. She was so excited after her appointment--the ability to have the procedure outpatient was unexpected surprise. She was thrilled! Thanks to Dr. Gautsch and his wonderful staff, I am literally able to walk again. I enjoy life and am able to do things I never thought I’d be able to do again. One of the best things about surgery with Dr. Gautsch is, I was able to go home the same day – didn’t have to stay overnight as in most cases. I can’t say enough good things about this practice. If you’re trying to decide if knee replacement is right for you, GO SEE DR. GAUTSCH. I promise, you won’t regret it.

Dr. Gautsch was really thorough with my husband before and after his surgery. He was very easy to talk to and my husband really liked his bedside manner. He was able to give expectations of the surgery and made us feel prepared for recovery. We really liked his level of professionalism and how he made us feel like family.

My first experience with surgery of any kind since 2001 is the replacement of my left knee. I have received excellent treatment from Dr. Gautsch and his office staff. I have only the best things to say about Dr. Gautch and his staff. I have seen him many times in the past 7 years. He has repaired both of my shoulders, which I am able to use again to do almost anything I want. My right wasn't ever this good after another doctor repaired it years ago. Everyone says he and his therapists are the best and they are right.
