After about a 15 minute wait in the lobby and another at least 45 minute wait in the patient room I was finally able to visit him for the 2nd time, this time with my husband joining me. Even though the diagnosis was hard to hear he was very informative, encouraging and helpful as to what our next steps should be in treating my neurological condition. (Post Polio Syndrome). He explained things in detail to my husband (who is a retired surgeon) in a way that made him realize my declining ability to walk and stay upright was not due to deconditioning but rather a true neurological condition which has no treatment other than to try to keep me safe by making accommodations in our home to make it more accessible for me. He gave us concrete examples of how to deal with this and said he'd be more than glad to work with insurance companies etc. to obtain the help I needed at home. I so appreciated his time and thoughtful suggestions. I did hand him a detailed summary of 56 years of… symptoms, showing the decline in my health throughout that time span which I think was helpful. Hope this review will ease some of the questions some people may have of choosing not to use this doctor. He truly was amazing!

After being a patient for 20 years, I needed a procedure in which he needed to take me off my blood thinner, which HE prescribed, and put me on something else temporarily for 7 days, yet HE would not prescribe it for me! I am being held hostage by a medication I can't get! This guy is nuts. This is the kind of disrespect he has for patients, he doesn't care how long he's been treating you. You leave him a message and you're lucky to hear back, ah, maybe a week? Unacceptable. He is pathetic. However, he will gladly take your $$$!!

I've seen this doctor only a few times, transferred from one of his retiring peers, who said- go somewhere else. When I inquired why he said he travels and comes in and out. I don't think he was willing to share true concerns. Mine are - very little face to face time, not even doing basic Neuro exam ever, not attending to details of medicines or explaining reasons and results for unpleasant and expensive tests not needed. It's so difficult to communicate with him, I just hope not to be shouted at , or told about other patients during my 7 minutes face time. Still trying to get care periodically, but feeling defeated.
