Dr. Thomas James Kandl, MD

Dr. Thomas Kandl is a board-certified ophthalmologist with 15 years of experience helping patients maintain and restore their vision. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine and completed his residency training at Boston Medical Center. His specialized training has equipped him with expertise in both medical and surgical eye care.

Dr. Kandl practices at multiple Georgia Eye Institute locations throughout Georgia and South Carolina, including Savannah, Statesboro, and Pooler in Georgia, as well as Bluffton, South Carolina. He focuses on treating conditions such as drooping eyelids and ptosis, which can affect both vision and appearance. His surgical expertise includes blepharoplasty procedures to correct eyelid concerns. Additionally, he performs comprehensive vision tests and visual field testing to evaluate and monitor eye health.
