Thomas C. Kim, M.D. joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2002. Dr. Kim is fellowship trained in the surgical treatment of athletic injuries focusing on disorders of the shoulder, hip, and knee with an emphasis on arthroscopic surgery of these joints.

Dr. Thomas C. Kim was raised in Los Angeles, California and received his undergraduate education at the Georgetown University College of Arts & Sciences in Washington, D.C. Dr. Kim graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and was nominated into Sigma Xi for research in Organic Chemistry. As an undergraduate student, Dr. Kim also received a Minor in Theology. While attending Georgetown University, Dr. Kim was accepted via the Early Assurance Program into the Georgetown University School of Medicine where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Kim completed a year of general surgical residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and completed his orthopedic training with the San …Francisco Orthopaedic Residency Program. In 2000, following residency, Dr. Kim completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Harvard University under Lyle Micheli, M.D. in Boston, Massachusetts. During his fellowship, he provided coverage for the Boston Ballet, Boston Marathon, Eastern College Athletic Conference Track Championship, Bay State Games, and for several local college and high school hockey and football teams. His fellowship also involved training at the Boston Children's Hospital. The Boston Children's Hospital division of Sports Medicine was the first facility in the nation devoted to the treatment of sports injuries in pediatric and adolescent athletes.

Dr. Kim has been fantastic. He is very thorough and breaks everything down so you can understand what’s going on a provides options for next steps as well as his recommendations! My son and I are elated to have him as our Doctor and he has made us feel beyond comfortable and informed!

Dr Kim was very nice he listened to me when I told him my syptoms and was helpful in determing what the best course of action would be for me. He also told me I could call his office if I need another injection for my shoulder without having to go to urgent care. Hopefully I dont ever need surgery but if I do I would feel comfortable having him perform it.

Dr. Kim was professional and explained everything thoroughly. He answered my questions and I didn’t feel like he was rushing through the appointment. He gave me several options for treatment and his recommendation, and then told me about several doctors that specialize in what I need.

Great experience from check in to dr visit. Dr. Kim was professional and knowledgeable while diagnosing my condition. He reviewed my condition with me and explained my options. I felt very comfortable with the visit.

My experience has been very good. I would recommend anyone who needs rotator cup surgery. I do like my insurance Optum Care gives me all my reports on line with privacy and security. Dr. kim is very thorough and knew what to do. His whole staff and Vivian is very friendly and ready to help.
