Dr. Thomas Frank Krulewski, MD

I am writing to you following a deeply distressing experience I had during an Argon Laser Trabeculoplasty procedure performed by Dr. Thomas F. Kruleweski. My intention is not to lodge a formal complaint at this time, but rather to share my experience in the hope that improvements can be made to ensure other patients receive a more comfortable and respectful experience. The procedure began with insufficient explanation of what to expect. Dr. Kruleweski assured me that topical anesthetic drops provided adequate pain relief. However, this proved insufficient. The placement of the weighted apparatus in my right eye, coupled with the demand that I keep my eye open throughout the procedure, caused significant discomfort. I struggled to maintain my eye open without breaks, and despite my best efforts, I uncontrollably blinked, causing the apparatus to fall out. This event led to a sharp escalation in Dr. Kruleweski's demeanor. His response to my obvious pain was unprofessional and dismissive.… Instead of acknowledging my discomfort and exploring alternative pain management options, he became irritated, expressing concern only for his schedule and suggesting I should have preemptively taken Tylenol, without assessing whether or not that medication would have been effective in my case. His lack of empathy and failure to adjust his approach based on my expressed pain were deeply upsetting. The entire experience was profoundly negative, leaving me with lasting feelings of anxiety and dissatisfaction regarding my treatment. I felt vulnerable and unheard throughout the procedure. I will never return to his practice.

Dr K did a great job with my surgeries! I felt so comfortable and prepared for surgery thanks to Sloan and her team being so knowledgeable and friendly! The diversity of the staff here made me feel at ease, and everyone always had a smile on their face!

I have been seeing Dr K for years! Finally time for cateract surgery and I had an excellent outcome..everything was explained before surgery an after surgery..I have never had any issues getting an appointment or the time I needed..never a long wait! His staff is friendly an informative..the one staff member ... Sloan is super friendly..they always time to smile . Talk .and laugh with you !! Sloan is knowledgeable an makes you feel comfortable! I highly recommend Dr K!!

Had excellent results after surgery for cataracts. had surgery on right eye two years ago and recently had surgery on the left. Now have 20/20 vision in both eyes. Thank you Dr. K.

His office and staff explained the process for my cataract surgery with great care in making sure I understood what they were talking about. Dr. Krulewski was comforting during the procedure by explaining what he was doing at the time. Thank you and your staff. NL

The poorly organized office procedures meant that several unanswered phone calls over a two-week period were necessary simply to make an appointment with the staff person who schedules surgery.  The pre-surgery communication was incomplete and erroneous.  When Dr. Krulewski finally declined to carry out glaucoma surgery on my mother-in-law, a long-time patient, because of possible complications, his attitude was condescending and unsympathetic.  I have never had a worse interaction with a physician.

My cataract surgery (as well as pre-op & post-op care) was excellent--Dr. K is an expert surgeon. His description of the procedure mapped 100% onto my experience of it: short & painless. His professional staff & the professional staff at the Surgery Center are wonderful.

SURGERY WENT GOOD, GOOD DOCTOR. PLEASANT ATTITUDE. IM REALLY PLEASED.

Despite initial scheduling difficulties I consider this, overall, a very positive experience and extremely successful result.
