Dr. Thomas Tehwen Lee, MD

I'd hate to give a professional a negative review but in my experience I have absolutely nothing positive to say. I feel as if my pain was dismissed and I was quickly referred back to my primary doctor and sent back to work (a work note - they charged me $10 for it!!!). I had to suggest the doctor to send me physical therapy for any possible relief, how and why should I have had to do that. The doctor refused to send me for the CORRECT imaging that would have found my disc complications. Fast forward 4 months later, still experiencing terrible pain and when I call to give this office a second chance, I was advised the doctor is no longer practicing! Makes total sense why I was brushed off and neglected care in the first place.

My son was involved in an accident about two months ago and one of my medical acquaintances recommended Dr. Lee to me. Though I did not undergo treatment myself, I was present for the medical examinations and I was with my son shortly before and after the surgery. Dr. Lee with with us every step of the way, always answering any questions or reassuring any uncertainties we may have had about the operation. The office staff, especially his office manager, Ms. Yu, were also understanding and flexible with their schedules, enabling us to schedule the best date for our appointment. His skill ensured my son's recovery, and he is now able to go about his daily life with only the occasional ache or pain. I am so grateful for Dr. Lee's genuine kindness and care for his patients. Without him, my son would not be able to live the healthy and fulfilling life that he does now.

Dr. Lee performed my discectomy. He was courteous, kind, thoughtful and thorough during office visits and exams. The surgery went perfectly and the results were outstanding-- I walked out of the hospital unassisted the next day, and that was 7 years ago. Thank you, Dr. Lee!

Dr. Lee tried to make me have a career ending operation because as his rude as can be wife states " you have really good insurance you should have the operation will make u feel much better. Explain to me how 6 screws in the neck and a plate in the back is going to make me feel much better. Went to 2 other Dr and they both said the same thing. You under no circumstance need to have any operation ...,plus the last time I was their I waited for over 2 hrs and I had a 10:30 appt ..,,

Dr. Lee is an excellent D.r a master at his craft I painstakingly write this review because it does'nt speak to his abilities as a surgeon but rather the treatment of his office manage/wife.I had 2 sevicle spine performed by Dr.Lee and because of recovery time out of work I obtained a private diability insurance. I was hospitalized due to a back injury and out of work. The insurance company required his signature, his office manager/wife after several request denied to let him see the form and refused to have it signed causing me to loose money on my claim. His office manager/wife was very rude and denied me an appointment to even speak with him. I left several request fo him to call me addressing medication concerns and the call was never returned. I doubt he ever got the request. His office manager/wife has basically denied me all access to the doctor. I was pending a much needed back surgery but to the unethical treatment by his office staff I will be taking my business elsewhere.… It is a shame he is letting his wife ruin his practice. My lawyers had past dealings with her and no longer sends their clients to him.

First of all, the only reason I clicked moderate on the wait time during a visit is because Dr. Lee is in no rush to get to the next patient. He takes his time with you so that you are completely comfortable with an understanding of your particular situation.Dr. Lee was very honest with me from the very beginning. I was in extreme pain, my herniated discs causing the pain to shoot constantly down my right arm. He told me that I could try other forms of pain relief,epidermal, acupuncture, physical therapy...all of them may give temporary relief, none of them would fix the problem. In 2005, Dr, Lee repaired my C6 and C7 vertebrae. When I woke from surgery, the pain was gone. It's been 7 years and C4 and C5 are just about shot. If I need surgery again, I would not consider anyone besides Dr. Lee

The BEST bed side manner I have ever had! I woke up to see him sitting down reding the paper and greeted me with a good morning and a smile. My back felt better after the meds wore off and its two years later and although he no longer accepts my insurance still offers an affordable rate for my check ups. Two thumbs way up! More doctors should treat their patients the way Dr. Lee does!

This is my second time using Dr. T. Lee. Many years have past. I found is staff to be really great at there jobs. All that you would want from an office staff! Only one draw back, cash only co - pay...in my case its $30. each visit. No checks or debit cards, just cold cash...luckily for me theirs a Bank of America near by. All so a Chase is not to far away.

Awesome Dr. realy knows his craft. you may wait a little while to see him but is worth it. I would be worried if I didn't have to wait to see a Dr.

Does not follow up; won't speak to a patient on the phone, must make an appointment. Quick to perform surgery without appropriate prior testing.
