He is currently the lead investigator on two clinical trials involving a minimally invasive alternative and adjunct to surgery for chronic subdural hematomas, a procedure which he helped develop and has the potential to significantly improve patient outcomes. He also started a novel clinical trial investigating the use of intra-arterial neuroprotective substances in stroke intervention. He prides himself on practicing medicine that is led by interpersonal relationship and patient-centered care.Dr. Link is a member of various professional neurosurgical organizations, including the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), and Society of Neuro-interventional Surgeons (SNIS). He has an extensive list of peer reviewed publications to his credit, including works for Neurosurgery, Journal of Neurosurgery, Operative Neurosurgery, World Neurosurgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, and Cell Medicine. In 2018, he received an award for innovation in neurosurgical publishing.
