Dr. Thomas L Lovetere

Dr L has been my Dentist for over 10 years and I won't trust anyone else to take of me. He is always compassionate and has the latest procedures to allow me to stay healthy and keep Smiling!! #Forevermydoc

I had a root canal done & it was painless & fantastic. Dr. Lovetere is so wonderful & his staff is so professional. I recommend this office to everyone.

I strongly recommend that you avoid this dentist. Please read my letter below. You'll understand why I say this. 11-6-18 Dear Dr. Lovetere, I am writing this on the evening of the day (8-15-18) you did the build up for my crown. Something occurred that has been bothering me all day. While doing the procedure you cleaned my teeth. I found this to be a bit strange and wasn't sure why you were doing it since I was in for a crown prep and not a cleaning but what could I do but let it happen since it was difficult to speak when my mouth was being worked on and you were half-way finished by the time I realized what was going on. When I had the chance to speak and asked you about it you responded that you liked doing it for your patients. My reason for writing this to you is the fact that you performed a service (teeth cleaning) that I had not requested nor been informed would occur. I was shocked when I was told that I was being charged ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS for a… non-requested service that took you no more than 4 minutes to perform. When I was presented with the charge and complained, you reduced it to the "Special" price of $79.00. I paid it but was not at all happy. Don't get me wrong. I Do appreciate the fact that you supposedly reduced the cost of my 2 crowns and build-up from $1500 to $1200 each. I came into your office prepared for the $1200.00 charge. My complaint is not so much the $79.00 but the fact that you did the cleaning without my prior knowledge or permission and then charged me for it. This entire situation is very disturbing to me. You convinced me that you were a good dentist by what I perceived to be the quality of the work you did. I also liked you. Now I'm not sure. I imagine I feel like some people feel when buying a car. They negotiate a price. They agree to it and then find they also have to pay for the paint protectant as well. If we are going to have a relationship in the future. If I am going to be your patient and you my dentist, I need to know what procedures you are going to perform and what they will cost before I come into your office. I prefer to do only 2 cleanings a year. If I actually need more, we can talk about it and I will then make the decision to do so or not. I expect to be reimbursed by cash or check for the $79.00. I told his staff member to have him call me. No response. By the way, Of all the websites that post reviews (Yelp, Health Grades, etc.) This is the only site I have found that shows a majority of favorable reviews for this dentist. I suggest to you that most of the reviews on this site were most likely placed by family and/or friends of Dr. Lovetere
