Dr. Thomas Menke, DO

From the moment we walked into Stratham Anesthesia Associates my daughter and I felt very uneasy. There were at least 2 dozen people waiting to be seem. I overheard one mother say to another mother that they were waiting over an hour for a procedure and hadn't eaten since the previous morning. Low and behold we waited about 45 minutes past our appointment time. We were there for an elective procedure but it felt more like we were the cattle being lead to the slaughter. Just another number, just another notch on the belt, just another fat paycheck from the insurance companies. No personal touch whatsoever. Then we had the misfortune of meeting Dr. Menke. From the first 60 seconds of the conversation, we should have turned around and left. He couldn't have seemed less interested!!! This was the man who was going to put my 13 year old daughter to sleep for her procedure. She was extremely nervous and we told him that multiple times, do you think he cared??? NOT ONE BIT!!! Absolutely ZERO… bed side manner. And to be honest, he creeped me out. I did not feel comfortable leaving my daughter alone with him but when I met the lovely nurse (sorry I forget your name), I was assured my daughter would be ok. That was the longest 30 minutes of my life. When the procedure was done, it was the nurse who came and talked to me NOT THE DOCTOR. I would have expected a visit from the doctor who performed the procedure or the anesthesiologist. Not here at Stratham Anesthesia associates. They had already moved onto the next victim/paycheck. I will be looking elsewhere the next time anyone in my family needs this type of service.
