Dr. Thomas Marcus Mick

Dr. Mick introduced me to injections and then to a regime of excercises for my knee, which I do religiously. And so I've escaped knee surgery, and now at 90 years old I'm limber and youthful. I bless him.

Not very interested or caring.Made fun of me for coming to him.

I started my visit with Dr. Mick by telling him there was a short version and long version of the story of my knee pain. He interrupted me and said, "your knees hurt. That's the short version." He wasn't interested in the long version. He told me to go to physical therapy for my knees and I would be fine. I went to a different sports medicine doctor who referred me to a neurologist who found something wrong with my back that was affecting my legs. I also saw an orthopedist who ordered injections for my pain. Physical therapy did not solve all my problems and "knees hurt" was an incomplete assessment.

Visited Dr. Mick 3 times & all O.K. Then, had emergency & wanted to see him that same day - called 3 times on this. His P.A. 'Rachel' would not give appointment after I explained emergency "Could not do it." Great gal Spent 4 hours in emergency room at Lenox Hill. NEVER AGAIN call this office.

I was really impressed. Dr. Mick is associated with the premier orthopedic group here in NYC. I was referred to him and found him to be very thorough and professional. He explained precisely what was going on in my knee and the pros and cons of the various options.

Informative...caring...great listener....simplifies medicalexplanations...overall "an EXCELLENT"" doctor.
