Dr. Thomas Sinh-Thien Pham, MD

Terrible bedside manner. No compassion. Told me I had to educate my doctors on my rare disease but refused to learn about it himself. Implied I was wasting his time. Did not accurately record appointment in record.

As a patient of Dr. Pham´s for many years with psoriasis, I was very happy and always received excellent care and treatment. Dr. Pham is by far an extremely knowledgeable dermatologist in his field and will share his expertise with you regarding your skin condition. If you have a new skin condition and/or are in need of a better qualified dermatologist, then consider Dr. Pham.

I had a stubborn acne problem -- and I can't afford the expensive medicine prescribed by other demartologists who make me wait for weeks before I get an appointment. I was desperate and made an appt. to see Dr. Pham. Was very impressed with the treatment. I normally don't leave reviews, until I remember reading something about "Charlie Sheen" in one of the reviews, so I thought I should go back to read the reviews again. There was one Charlie Sheen review in Sept. 2012, and another one in this year 2013. Wow, what a strange coincidence!!!! Either it's a strange coincidence, or someone's malicious attempt to defame the doctor. There is something in life called karma. If I were the doctor, I would contact Vitals to track down the reviewers and sue them for defamation.

The shortest doctor's visit I've ever had. Dr. Thomas Pham is rude, insensitive, and NOT helpful @ all. I asked him to help me with my skin condition, he abruptly said no multiple times, not even to offer me any sort of treatment options, his exact words were " you are just going to have to live with it for the rest of your life". I told him that I will seek an opinion from another doctor, which I happily did and that doctor helped to improve my condition and my appearance so I don't have to live with "it" for the rest of my life, it's completely gone with minimal scarring, not like Dr. Pham predicted that it will turn into a keloid scar. Going to Dr. Pham was a waste of gas, time, and money. I left Dr. Pham's office feeling upset and hopeless. Anyone who decides to see Dr. Pham and is left feeling the way I did, please don't let Dr. Pham's opinion discourage you from seeking help from another dermatologist.

This doctor is something else. My mother went to him for some kind of rash she has been having. He didn't even bother to read anything she wrote down on the papers and proceeded to yell like a Raving Lunatic at her for various of different things - worse than Charlie Sheen. My mother said never again will she ever go there - he wouldn't give her any diagnosis. Upon walking out the room the Nurse said that she had to do an Follow up, My mother said to her Why? I will not be Returning to this office, very RUDE Doctor and simply walked out. She even said he had his hands up in a fist wanting to fight her and she said she swears he was on Drugs or something because he sure didn't act like a "real" doctor

Not sure why the doctor got some really negative reviews, like someone was going out to get him. It's really sad that people with the Internet can be really nasty -- perhaps the reviews came from his competitors or fired staff?? My experience is very positive. Easy to make an appointment. Staff was polite and friendly. Doctor was to the point, although he explained in lay terms the problem with the "lump" on my back. He confirmed what my brother (family doctor) thought the problem was, but it was nice to get a professional opinion. I went to see him because of a reviewer saying he does charity work in Ecuador -- and I want to practise my Spanish. The guy does know Spanish. Sure, will see him again and recommend him to others.

Staff was patient waiting for me to go back and forth on my calendar to decide when I could make an appointment. I was late, but they made no fuss about it. Doctor was friendly -- he was also in the Army and sent to the same place! There are not too many doctors accepting Medicare patients anymore so will ask the missus to make an appointment.

I asked Dr. Pham about the large mole on my elbow. He checked it carefully for sign of cancer, and educated me thoroughly on signs of cancer. He also followed up after visit. He is a board-certified physician and spent many years working for the poor in Ecuador. I respect him for his integrity, wanting the best for his patients, and saving them money.

Receptionist abrupt when attempting to make appointment for 17 yr.old niece (fair skinned, blond, blue eyed, moles removed in past) needing full body skin check as her mom just died of melanoma. When I brought power of atty. as instructed so I could make appt. recepetionis was still very rude, acted as if I was bother. No matter how pleasantly I responded to her remarks she continued to be rude and accusatory in her tone of voice. Nurse with blonde hair very nice. At appt. receptionist took medical history papers without word and left niece just standing there with no direction or acknowledgement. Not too long a wait for appt. but Dr. Pham asked why niece there..."just for fun of it?" Obvious didn't read papers we had to fill out. Cursory exam only took FIVE MINUTES!!! Said to bring results of previous removals and then he would maybe decide moles were serious enough to take a better look at. Much more interested in niece's acne and in ME losing my sister. He said "So you lost your… sister and got stuck with her" meaning my niece. I said she was a blessing so he proceded to say he hates HIS 17 yr old son, who hasn't applied for college, and he makes wife stay up late to pick son up, etc. The exam took five minutes. We were out in 15-20 min. Dr. Pham said "to come back in a year, but if we don't like me, don't come back and find someone else." Oddly, an elderly man came in and was greeted so cheerfully by the receptionist I had to double check to be sure it was the same woman. If you had someone die of melanoma & need full skin check & preventive/instructional info...DON'T GO HERE!

I was given an appointment for the following day. Once I arrived, I waited 5 minutes and was called from waiting room to examining room. Ten minutes later, I was seen by the doctor! The doctor was very informative and ready for any questions. Very good!
