Dr. Thomas John Purtzer

I am one of Dr Purtzer's Medtronic Opiate Infusion Device patients and grateful for the expert use of knowledge experience compassion and empathy he treats each patient as an individual his ability to listen and hear what you tell him is comprehended and incorporated in throughout every step of the journey to living with yourself using ONTRACK always mentoring the journey through COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL MODIFICATION. His firm belief and trust in God guides him every step of the way. I AM A SUCCESS ! HIS SURGICAL PROCEDURE HAS LEAD TO A SPINAL CORD INJURY WITH NERVE DAMAGE THAT WAS CRIPPLING ME PAINFULLY AND SLOWLY WAS HALTED> IT HAS TAKEN 10 years for the muscles disc replacement ,hairline fractures and the nerve that was sending constant pain signals and my overwhelming fear of relentless pain was healed. The use of OPIATE INFUSION DEVICE was a choice I made after 4 years of systemic use of opiates was causing me to drift away in a fog of opiate time distortion without… actually stopping the pain. Lacking motivation to not only walk but to engage in serious physical total body and muscle group exercise scar tissue was becoming a problem I did not realize this at the time but I did know that I was not alive only living from pill to pill in unending attempt to run away from myself. I called his office, put on hold for as long as it takes to wonder and he was there. I told him " I can not live like this sever the nerve I would rather be using a walker pain free and alive in this world" His immediate retort " Don't be so dramatic DEBRA!" that got my attention "We discussed alternatives. Make an appointment you are going to be ok." The device was put in place. From the moment the systemic opiates were not affecting my mental state I woke up from a 4 year dream and I saw the color of sunshine coming through the window. My journey to heal physically and mentally began. The saddest part of my story is how the medical community the doctors who refuse to except new technology that can positively affect the out come of healing mind and body using opiates without addiction. Did cause the successful removal of my opiate infusion device by Dr Purtzer impossible. From the first refill of the device I asked that the amount of the opiate be reduced. Plans were in the process for a safe removal of the device. The Josephine County Medical Board was getting ready to meet and vote against the use` of opiates as a treatment for CHRONIC PAIN SYNDROME. One month before this meeting Dr. Purtzers office was closed his medical records were taken by the DEA his doors closed. My life became one of keeping one step ahead of a medical community that literally used the law and broke it to cause me to appear an addict and unsuccessful opiate infusion device recipient. Some one did cause me to become involved in a driving accident. Did broadside me in an intersection, did cause me to have a violent allergic reaction 2 weeks later while driving and the same man that broadsided me in the same vehicle caused me to drive in the oncoming traffic lane. But I safely drove off the road. The AMR ambulance that came to the scene helped me into the ambulance I needed emergency relief for the Bronchial Spasms and the accompany Bronchial Asthma. Being manhandled and strapped across my chest held down restricted my breathing to the point I passed out. I was given 2 doses of an opiate antagonist used for heroine overdose naloxen in less than 30 minutes. From this point on my life became even more chaotic tan it was from the moment the device was put in the Josephine county medical community interfered at every level. I ended up in Nevada life is still one of trying to prove I am not addicted to opiates. The device was removed By Dr Hahn at the University of Utah . I am A SUCCESS. The use of ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT that can be done using GALAXY NOTE ANDROID SMART PHONES AND GOOGLE PLAY STORE APPLICATIONS is a daily bombardment of sound and radio frequencies. Interference with my ability to communicate using my Phone and computer are remotely managed and the use of a Behavioral Analyst trained in Behavioral Modification is also my neighbor who also has a brother that lives nearby tat is an expert in the use of covert spying using net gear.

This guy is a joke along with his rotten wife so called nurse I wouldn’t let her work on a dead skunk . They should go out of business while there ahead

It's awful what Iv'e read about Dr. Purtzer. He did a great job fixing a mess another doc did on my spine. But I have scoliosis and a deteriorating spine progressively worsening. The pain is unbearable and constant. I don't know how there is anything bad about a man that wants to help people be able to function with horrible acute chronic pain. I think most of us just want relief and to live as normal as we can. And it's awful that we that really suffer can't get proper care because there are some awful people lying and manipulating the docs trying to help people.

Besides dealing with the incredibly rude staff (or I guess I should say Dr Purtzer's Wife and assistant so nothing will ever be done about her attitud ...

Before I found Dr. Purtzer, my pain was controlling every aspect of my life. I couldnâ??t get out of bed, couldnâ??t stand or walk for more than 5 minutes. I was overwhelmed with pain and could not think strait. I have been to almost every doctor and orthopedic surgeon in Oregon. I was searching for a human first, doctor second and only found oneâ?¦Dr. Thomas Purtzer. I have been a patient of his almost 10 years now and with his treatment I have been able to turn my life around; pain no longer controls or inhibits me to do anything. Yes, I am still waiting for total knee replacement in both knees but I work fulltime, play with my kids and walk at least 30 miles a week. Without the guidance of Dr. Purtzer, I would still be in bed, unable to work or feel up to playing with my children at all. Dr. Purtzer is continually researching new ways to help control chronic pain. Yes he will prescribe pain medication however he is always finding alternatives to that solution. He cares for… your whole body, mind and spirit. He understands the stereotyping that people like me are constantly battling just because we do take a pain medication. He knows that the daily fight to make it through a single day with pain can be both fulfilling and joyful if managed correctly. Each year I get a little better at reaching those daily â??pain freeâ?? days, I am able to exercise more, eat healthier and stay calm because of the information Dr. Purtzer has passed along to me. I thank God every day for him.

I have been a patient of Dr.Purtzur's for over 4 years now. Over this time I have grown in many ways, emotionally and physically. My pain has been under control to where I am able to live a normal life again and I have since opened a successful business in the valley here and I owe a lot of it to the amount of work that the Dr. required me to do. I had to get in touch with who I really was and his Pain Management has been more about whole body health and knowledge of what is happening in your body than "Pushing Pills" and sending you away. He has been a constant help when I have been in need and I will continue to see him for as long as I can. Thank you for reading this and I would recommend Dr. Purtzur to anyone that needs to get their pain under control and want a better life. He has had many years experience and it is great to be able to have a Dr. that is so knowledgeable in many fields.

When wife first came to see you her pain was unbearable. I watched her suffer to the point she wanted to end her life. You gave her medication at a very low dose that made her pain tolerable. As her illness progressed her medications changed. You adjusted her medication as her pain worsened and would readjust them when her pain lessened. Never did I believe you were just pushing pills. My wife and I both owe you gratitude for your healing knowledge. With out you and your wife in our lives I believe that my wife would not be here today. We see you as an angel of mercy. We thank you with all of our hearts for everything you do. I defiantly would see Dr. Purtzer again and have told friends what a wonderful doctor he is and they should see him.
