Dr. Daniel Macdowell Wayman, MD

Couldn't get my diagnosis correct even after a review of medical records. Office is out of touch and poorly run.

Dr Wayman and his staff provided me with excellent care in a set of recent visits. Scheduling was possible for an appointment just a short time away. The people in the office were cordial and knowledgeable. Dr Wayman did a great job on my procedure and in a first for me, they told me just to "drop in" any time if I needed some post op help or advice. This is a great office.

This review is about the office staff NOT the Doctor. Dr. Wayman seems to be very knowledgeable and spends a good amount of time with each patient. The office staff with the 1 exception of Amanda (who is wonderful!) are extremely rude and condescending. The office manager Cindi and Kayla are known for their rude behavior towards patients and they discriminate against Oregon Health Plan patients. This matter has been brought to Dr. Wayman's attention by several sources but so far nothing has been done. If you have private health insurance you may be okay but if not be prepared to be humiliated and treated like a 2 year old.

This guy is a dirty scumbag! The staff are just as bad. Stay away!

My experience with the staff was very friendly and Dr. was concerned, caring and very patient with me. The waiting time in the office was enjoyable as the receptionist was professional and made you feel relaxed. The nurse listened and went through all the information about my health and medications in a pleasant friendly way.

I hate to write this review because I really like Dr. Wayman but didn't like the conversations by employees that I overheard. First it's a very small waiting room. The receptionist is only feet from where you sit. Your exposed to her conversations with other patients and phone calls whether you want to hear or not. She was calling patients with biopsy results...really. That should be private information. I'm sure Mr. Smith wouldn't want anyone else hearing that kind of info. Shouldn't those kind of phone calls be made from a more private office than in the waiting room. Also heard other employees talking about other patients and not in a good way. I thought it was very unprofessional. It made me so uncomfortable I went out and sat in the hallway. Maybe Dr. Wayman is unaware of this but hopefully something will happen and get this kind of behavior changed. Even though I like Dr. Wayman it could effect whether I would continue to call myself one of his patients.

I called twice to reschedule my appointment for my son. The second time they told me I would not be allowed to be seen by their practice because of two late cancellations. I cannot control when my son gets sick. Also, they cannot expect me to know the office policies before I have even been there once. The office manager was RUDE to me on the phone and I do not appreciate it. If I had a choice I would immediately choose a different doctor. However, it is out of my control. I hate my pediatrician too and I am sure she will not refer me to someone else.

I repeatedly experience inappropriate and disrespectful treatment when making an appointment, as well as when I try to talk with the administrative personnel when I am in the office. This includes everyone from the person who answers the phone to the office manager. The seem put off by, and unaware as to how to deal with, simple logistical questions.Sadly, this is a poor reflection on the doctor(s) in this office.
