Dr. Thomas D Rapp, MD

I have been going to Dr. Rapp for many years and like him very much. His staff is very friendly and efficient. He also will send a patient to a specialist in an instant if he cannot help you. In other words he is not full of himself and really wants to help the patient.

Dr Rapp was my primary care physician for approximately 15 years. The last time I came in for an office visit he yelled and berated me. He complained that when I come in that I take up too much time. He yelled that, "I come in with every complaint from a hang nail to...to this...to that...and it takes up too much time." The yelling only continued at me for 30 seconds. He stormed out of the room and could be heard ranting up and down the hall complaining about me, other patients and how he shouldn't even bother trying to take a vacation. Presumably I and few others were keeping him from more important things while he was being paid to provide care. I am sure there are plenty of doctors who feel like they have patients that take up more than their share of time. I am also sure they handle it more tactfully and professionally. Additionally I did not get a chance to respond over the yelling. When I made appointments with his staff. I always told them what I wanted to be seen… for. I did not surprise the doctor with additional things that I had not already told his staff when making the appointment. Additionally I have suffered from depression for decades now for which he was aware and attempted to treat me. I think it is more shameful to verbally abuse someone with my history. We are all human. He did not seem bothered by his outburst in any way. I saw him one time after that. I brought my fiance with me in case anyone needing to do some yelling back.
