Dr. Thomas Francis Ruzics, MD

I've been going to Dr Ruzice for 37 years and he's always been kind and caring in my opinion. He's helped me through a lot of health issues through the years. I'm grateful for having a doctor like him. Dr. Hall is great too.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Ruzics. While the office staff was kind and efficient, the care I received from Dr. Ruzics was shockingly dismissive and unprofessional. I made an appointment to discuss perimenopause symptoms and concerns about hormone replacement therapy (HRT). When I arrived, I was told the appointment was for a pap smear, which I did not schedule. I corrected the staff and clarified why I was there, and the assistant asked me about hot flashes and irregular periods. Despite this, Dr. Ruzics walked into the exam room unprepared and uninterested. I attempted to explain my symptoms, including joint pain, sleep issues, and unexplained weight gain. Instead of listening or offering solutions, Dr. Ruzics interrupted me repeatedly, dismissed my concerns, and even stated, “You’re just old.” He failed to discuss perimenopause or explore potential treatments, despite clear evidence that my symptoms align with this phase of life. His demeanor was… condescending, and he made me feel unheard and insignificant. To make matters worse, I felt pressured into a pap smear I did not want, and I was visibly upset throughout the procedure. The entire appointment—from entering the exam room to leaving—lasted less than 10 minutes, with no meaningful discussion or care provided. I cannot recommend Dr. Ruzics to anyone seeking compassionate, thorough, or professional care.

I love Dr. Ruzics. He saw me through ovarian cancer 25 years ago and could not have been more kind and compassionate.

Dr. Ruzics always takes the time to answer my questions and ask about ME...not just medical stuff. Really like him, have been with him forever.

I feel this doctor cares about me and does the very best to insure a long life span for my life.

Dr. Rusics is a pretty good doctor, but can sometimes act kind of snooty when talking to you. When my husband came with me in the room for my first appointment, he just started to examine me & was talking about medical stuff the whole time. He didn't ask me if I even wanted my husband in the room for the exam (I didn't)and i didn't like that. I had a procedure at Barberton Hospital and that place is a dump, very unhappy staff and overall unpleasant experience. Go to an Akron Hospital if you see him. They are better.
