Dr. Thomas Scott Shane, MD

While Dr. Shane tries to project an attitude of kindness and concern, that feeling is not exhibited by the rest of his staff. Kylie, in particular, is rude beyond belief. It’s astonishing that she is allowed to interact with patients when she exhibits zero compassion, or even common courtesy. Additionally, passing off intricate surgeries to a nurse practitioner is not confidence inspiring. I understand this particular gentleman was a doctor in a South American country, but he is not in the USA, and having nurse practitioners perform laser surgeries without Dr. Shane present at all, just doesn’t feel right.

After thoroughly researching options I had my first appointment yesterday. To suggest it was very good would be an understatement. Dr. Shane and the support team were all exceptional. I am a big believer in expertise which led to this selection. However, the professionalism across the board from Colleen, Cody, Ayah & Carlos suggests high caliber teamwork is alive and well in this special environment. I expect they will achieve the fifth star in my follow up appointment.

Dr. Shane is an excellent Physician. He explains every detail before surgery. He takes his time explaining the procedure so you understand all of it. His staff is very professional.

I have been seeing Dr Shane for two years every three months or sometimes less I feel so lucky and blessed to have found him...thanks to my optometrist. My treatments have been explained every time I am there. Both he and his staff are the best...very professional and caring. Thank you for taking care of me.

unfortunately my experience was less than bad I called the office to see Dr Shane for what I considered an emergency, I had what a though it was a Stye on my left eye for about 10 days and it was not resolving with home care and I was leaving the country in few days I wanted him to examined my eye and gave me his opinion If I needed an antibiotic or any other treatment but the assistant and office manager insisted for me to have a comprehensive exam and have pupils dilated for what I oppose to have done because I was not told that I was going to have the comprehensive exam and I was going to have to go back to work and for me it takes at least 6 hours to regain my normal vision. I asked to talk to Dr Shane and the manager did not allowed me to saying that the doctor was with another patient,I was scheduled to see him also and he did not have the courtesy to come and talk to me but one thing was sure for them to secure I made my payment as soon I walked to the office. As a minimum act… of respect for the patients I was expecting Dr Shane to come and see me and give an explanation of the need of his protocol. I have been in the medical field for over 30 years and an emergency is not treated as a office visit, the issue is treated right away that’s why is an emergency. Patients need to be treated with respect ,my time is as valuable as his and any body else. Obviously I do not recommend any body to became his patient. I go to a Doctor because of his knowledge and capabilities and importantly as well for his compassion and manners.

From Michigan and did a google search. What an amazing doctor! Had a problem and they got me in within an hour of calling. Very professional staff and the doctor is amazing with great credentials! Can’t say enough being an out of town patient!

Dr. Shane is the very best eye doctor in my opinion. I had seen 5 doctors before him and no one could help me. During my first appointment with him, he listened with his head and his heart to my problem and you could see and feel his empathy. He prescribed a treatment and I am so grateful to him. The people in his office are the nicest you will ever meet anywhere. Thank you Dr. Shane.

I recently moved here and was referred to Dr. Shane by my former eye specialist in Pennsylvania. I found his office staff to be professional and caring. Dr. Shane is very compassionate, caring, skilled, and he explained in detail about my eye. I left his office feeling very happy with his practice and very relieved about the condition of my eye. I couldn't be happier.
