Dr. Thomas George Sherman, MD

Dr Sherman is so professional and is exactly what you imagine a psychiatrist she look and be like. He listens well and gives great feedback!

I have been seeing Dr. Sherman since 1990 or 1991, being treated for depression and anxiety. He was the answer to my need and worked to find medications that works for me. Other doctors I have had in the past didn't want to hear about whether the drug caused problems or if it was really working. He does spend less time with me in appointments because I am a long term patient and he knows me quite well as a patient. All I can say is that he does circles around other doctors in my area.

Dr. Sherman diagnosed my condition and I am receiving excellent and effective treatment. He and his staff are very professional.

I own Dr. Sherman a debt of gratitude. I used to spend my life sitting outside of hospitals having panic attacks. I was diagnosed as having an eating disorder when I couldn't swallow food for a year. It was Dr. Sherman prescribed my meds for me. He gave me back my life since then I've been able to fly in airplanes get out of my house and do things I could never do it for I owe him a lot. He never makes me feel bad about my condition and that's unusual for a physician. I agree he does not doing a whole lot of counseling but he has a counselor right in the office for him who is wonderful so I suggest those of you who want to talk to his partner psychology as for Dr. Sherman again he gave me back a life from living in fear.

Terrible experience. Bottom line is he's a controlling, rude, arrogant jerk. If you don't agree with his medication suggestion (I wasn't comfortable with him prescribing a bipolar med for minor depression) he will not consider other options. "You need to do what I tell you." He also gives you 25 minutes for your first appt. and will not go one minute over, even if you have a question. This is after 20 min. Completing paperwork and asking questions. Ridiculous.

Secretary is rude and acts like you are inconveniencing her. Dr. Sherman seemed rushed and honestly just made me feel kind of uncomfortable. He was very demanding and almost barked orders at me when I was hesitant to answer something. I was going to, but it was about personal trauma. Not something I can easily just shout out. I actually left the appointment early because of it. He wasn't someone I could see long term. I just wanted some pills to help with the anxiety after trauma, but his bedside manner made me so uncomfortable, I am just going to get in with someone else.

I was really unhappy with how Dr. Sherman treated me. He was disrespectful. It honestly felt like he was taking my condition lightly. He also billed me wrong on the last 3 out of 4 appointments, so looks like it is going to be out of pocket. I found someone else now and so much better. If you really can't get in anywhere, he is better than nothing, but if you can wait for anyone else it is worth it.

Absolutely a disgusting monster. This man should lose his license.

Dr Sherman is absolutely wonderful. My entire LIFE, I'd been misdiagnosed TERRIBLY by so called Dr. after Dr. and after talking to Dr. Sherman who is an INCREDIBLE listener, etc. he had a diagnose and remedy within 5 seconds of me being done..And now my life is TOTALLY different..THANK GOD for Dr.'s like him, he listens, he's awesome, he doesn't spend a TON of time with you BUT if you're huritn he'll spend as much as you need so he's not just a typical psychiatrist who are experts in medications for mental health issuesâ?¦but MY goodness, he wa s absolutely a LIFE SAVER FOR ME..as I'd had an issue my entire life and couldn't figure out WHY I was feeling a certain way every single day..ever day of my life, so I hope, if you're having issues, problems that you're not afraid for there is nothing to be fraud about..NO ONE wakes up one morning and says GEE I think I'dll develop a sever anxiety disorderâ?¦or slight tourrette's syndrome etc. He changed my life..by rusting me and I rust him… it's that simple and rare..GO TO HIM he's awesome.
