Dr. Thomas James Smith, MD

Dr smith and his staff were probably the best medical staff I have ever worked with. Dr Smith is excellent , knowledgeable and very courteous. For those with a serious illness like my son, I would place my utmost trust in his care.

Dr. Smith has done absolutely nothing to help my child. I first met him when my 5yr old had a mystery blood clot that Dr. Smith called "a fluke" and didn't look into my son's condition any further. He still struggles with blood related issues that Dr. Smith has been completely unable or unwilling to dig and find out the cause. I couldn't be more unimpressed. I'm looking for a new Dr. now, one that doesn't call blood clots in children, "flukes"!!

Dr. Smith has been seeing my son for 13 years. He is compassionate, gracious and has always had time for us. Even though the diagnosis was horrible, Dr. Smith has been there for us for 13 years. He always has taken our calls, been upfront and honest,always taken the time to explain. We love him and would recommend him to anyone who has a child with cancer.

Dr. Smith and his staff are very friendly, very respectful, very professional, and very knowledgeable! There is no better peds hemoc here in Colorado and the fact that he sees some adult patients with some very unusual diseases that are referred to him is also an indication of the type of doctor he is. As far as compassion... that man attends his patient's funerals and I've only known 2 other doctors to do this! He has more compassion for his patients than any other doctor I've ever known! My family is very lucky to have him as our hematologist.

Dr. Smith and his staff are wonderful, caring, dedicated and compassionate professionals. He has saved more children's lives than I can imagine. he is competent beyond words. He treats EVERYONE regardless of ability to pay. He is available all the time and completely devoted to his kids/families. Maybe that is why he has been selected as a Top Doc by his peers over 6 times in las 10 years. the man treats every patient as if he/she were his own. A+ in any book. God bless him!

He routinely makes you wait, his staff, especially his NP Robert and his entire staff are rude and arrogant, just like Dr. Smith himself. He shows absolutely no care or compassion to his patients and / or their family. He's always asking someone else how to treat his patients, obviously all his eduacation doesn't mean anything to him, he knows absolutely nothing. If you have a child with cancer, find someone else, he's horrid.
