Dr. Thomas R Vanderheyden Jr, DO

I found Dr. Vanderheyden amazing to work with. Not only is he very knowledgeable, but he was friendly and personable. I developed an instant repore with him and felt deeply connected with him after he diagnosed my cancer. He offered me great advice and I trust him to continue my medical needs in the future.

I can’t say enough good things about this Doctor. He’s very confident, knowledgeable, compassionate about his expertise, and very pleasant to be around. I ask for him by name every time I need Gastro Services.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Vanderheyden for a while now (more than 3 years) and he is always polite, attentive, considerate, and seems genuinely concerned and knowledgeable. On top of all of that, he is always on-time with my appts. I don’t think I’ve ever waited longer than 10 minutes from walking through the front door to him walking in the exam room). I wish I could find a primary care doc like him!

Dr. Vanderheyden is an excellent physician. He literally saved my life. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a wonderful demeanor. He always make me feel relaxed at my appointments and procedures. I highly recommend him!

Dr. was kind & seemed knowledgeable, but office staff is a bit rude & it’s odd when the secretary is explaining your results. Should come from the doctor or nurse.

Never have I had this kind of doctor since mine retired a few years ago. This man cares about his patients and shows this by his actions. He also shows great respect and kindness to the doctors within his office. If only his kindness and respect would rub off on the office staff. Not one of the nicer offices I have run in to in a few years but I can deal with that. It is the doctor that matters.

Dr. VanderHeyden made me feel very comfortable before and after the procedure. He explained the results in plain English and was very easy to understand. I would highly recommend him to anyone requiring a colonoscopy or Upper Endoscopy. Keep up the good work!

Dr. Vanderheyden is a phenomenal doctor, one who truly cares. He is skilled at his profession but also has a first-class personality that will immediately put you at ease. He won't over-treat your symptoms/illness but he will take it seriously and address accordingly. I really like him and trust him with my life.

Aside from the poor service we recieved at the hospital (we were seen today in a filthy interoir ER waiting room because it would "be quicker". Two hours later we had only seen the nurse practitioner and a nurse who gave my son an ibuprofen. We asked about how much longer it would be and we were told that his discharge papers were done and we were just waiting for the doctor to come around. Doctor finally shows up, doesnt even look at my kids foot which is back in a shoe since we were in a filthy waiting room instead of a examination bay and says ok you're free to go. Clearly we arent an urgent case but acting like you have the slightest interest in my kid's foot would have been great.

Dr. VanderHeyden has been one of the best straight shooting Dr's I've had. I have a lot of trust, faith, and respect in his care.
