Dr. Timothy Anthony Buckley, MD

Dr. Timothy Buckley is an incredible Primary Care Physician. He has helped our family time and time again as our 87 year old father has struggled with anxiety and aging over the last two years. He has the gift of compassion, and the skill of communicating medical information in a manner that patients can understand and follow. He is making a huge difference in dad's quality of life during this most trying of times. If you are looking for a doctor look no further.

I needed to find a new primary doctor since my current one was relocating to another city/state. I am disabled and need my doctor to be conveniently located. I currently belong to an HMO, my first mistake. I got Dr. Buckley's name from the provider. I should have been suspicious when I did not need to fill out any health forms at my first appointment, so the doctor had no clue of my health conditions. His fault, not mine; I told him I was disabled. I brought him a list of my medications and dosages. I explained why I was changing primary doctors and asked for a refill on one medication, a non-opioid. I had to sign an agreement (office policy) that I would not "sell" the medication on the street. I drive a 20yr old car, not a 2019 Lamborghini. He also wanted to see the bottles of medication. I gave him my pain management doctor's name of which 95% of the medication came from. Any other doctor I've seen has been satisfied with a list. He never once asked why I was there and I didn't get… a chance to tell him since he did all the talking. The final straw was when he asked for a urine sample and I had nothing to give. I went to the appointment straight from work. I used the washroom before leaving work and didn't need to go. He said he could give me some water and I could wait in the waiting room until I had to go again. I had reached my limit for that day with rheumatoid, osteo-arthritis, fibromyalgia pain, etc. and "Dr." Buckley. I was visibly upset and he reminded me I signed the "agreement". I told him to cancel the medicine request and I left. I don't get offended easily but short of being called a drug dealer pretty much will do it. I have seen so many doctors, and specialists over the years and Buckley was hands down one of the most offensive and arrogant doctors I have ever met.

I went into visit Dr. Buckley for my annual physical and preventative blood testing. I was very clear that there was nothing wrong with me, and I wasn't feeling ill in any way. Immediately after checking in for my visit Dr. Buckley brought me into a room and talked to me about my intentions. He told me that he normally will not do wellness work on a first visit as he doesn't make any money doing this type of work. He said he only typically does wellness work on patients he has a history with. I was shocked by this comment since I was a fairly healthy 30-something that typically doesn't get sick - wellness visits are typically all I do. He asked me over and over again if there was anything I feel might be wrong - I kept saying no. Eventually, reluctantly, he decided he could do the wellness work. To my surprise, when the bill came, there were items not marked as wellness. I called my insurance company and they called the doctors office. The doctors office told the insurance company that… additional non-wellness work was done and they would not change the billing. Although the non-wellness portion of the bill is small and I will simply pay it I felt it was important to write this review out of principal. Avoid Dr. Timothy Buckley at all costs.
