Timothy P. Finney, M.D. received his orthopaedic training at Louisiana State University Medical School. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at Sports Medicine West in Sale Lake City, Utah. Dr. Finney has worked with high school, intercollegiate, semi-professional and professional athletics in the Greater New Orleans Area. He has been a team physician for the New Orleans Saints football team since 1993. He was selected as one of the U.S. Olympic team physicians in 1996. Dr. Finney received the NFL Team Physician Society's Outstanding Team Physician of the Year Award for 2005. He has participated in the training of LSU family practice sports medicine fellows and is a clinical professor at LSU. His interests include sports related injuries and pathology of the shoulder and knee.

Dr. Tim Finney is a very professional orthopedic and surgeon. Dr. Finney is very professional and very thorough doing your visit. He cares about the patient first. Highly recommend because Dr. Finney always gets the right diagnosis.

My visit with Dr Finney was the best as always. Dr Finney is very prompt when it comes to appointments, I've never sat more than 5 to 10 minutes in the waiting area. In the treatment area it's the same never a long wait to be treated. Dr. Finney doesn't rush he's very thorough with explaining what's going on with my knee and the alternative measures that can be taken.

This was the second time I saw Dr Finney and both times he was great. He took an interest in what I said and didn’t object to explaining things. I can’t recommend him enough
