My family moved back to Idaho after being gone 22 yrs. I was experiencing Sciatic pain along w/lower back pain. I found out I had a bulging disc and herniation and required surgery. I found Dr.Johan through my own research and took a “Leap of Faith”. He is awesome, very genuine and comforting. His staff is great, thank you Kelly & Megan!! It’s been 5 months post surgery and back to the gym doing my regular workout. I would highly recommend Dr. Johan.

Dr Johans is a very talented Surgeon. I have had a few problems with Bone spurs in my neck and 2 operations over the last few years, the last with the spur pushing my spinal cord causing a small leak. It was a very complex operation as he had to remove an old post and fix the cord, but he did a great job and I was up the next day! His staff was great too. He is very honest and blunt, but that's really what I want for my surgeon. I don't need any sugar coatings!

After alot of research on finding the best doctor in the pacific northwest, my research led me to Dr. Johans. My results were better than I ever could have imagined. I was referred to Dr. Johans by a patient and friend of mine and I am so thankful I was. I had a previous ACDF fusion in 2019 and had a horrible experience as well as a ugly scar on my neck. I started having weakness and pain in both arms a month prior to calling Dr. Johans and his office assistant Kelly got me an appointment within less then a weeks time. I had a 9:00 appt on a Monday that led to an MRI downstairs at 11:30, a return appt with Dr. Johans at 1:30 then a pre-op appointment and surgery two days later. Dr. Johans not only fixed the issues I was having inside my neck, but also did a revision on my old scar and at a little over a month post-op my scar looks better than my old scar at over one year. I have recovered well from my C5-C7 fusion and feel so much better. I felt like his assistant Kelly, PA Megan and himself treated me more like family and not just a patient. Dr. Johans eased my worries the day of surgery and I felt in excellent hands. I would highly… recommend Dr. Johan's to anyone needing a neurosurgeon. He was truly a blessing to me!

I love Dr Johans! He's an awesome surgeon and I'd recommend him to anyone, but I just saw him today and waited two hours! And I was there early to do paperwork, my husband said he'd better at least day sorry, nope! I had several questions but he didn't give me a chance to ask, I felt very rushed and not important

At 38 years old, I had to have a cervical fusion. Up to then, I no idea my pain and agony was because of this need. Despite several doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists, the need for this surgery was no where near their diagnosis of me. Dr. Johans and his staff are amazing! Dr. Johans and his staff are the most caring people I have met. I suffered from extensive nerve pain from Cervical Spinal Stenosis. Dr. Johans explained that he had had it before and understood exactly what I was going through. My surgery was scheduled the next morning within 15 hours of meeting him for the first time. Insurance complications arose and his staff worked on it to get me transferred to another hospital the same morning and got me in for the surgery. If it hadn't been for their caring and compassion, I really don't know where I would be today. If anyone is suffering from pain as I was, I highly encourage you to call this office immediately.
