Dr. Timothy Michael Lahood, MD

I was a patient for 6 years. When he was independent, he was great. When he joined up with UnityPoint, he stopped listening. I brought up multiple concerns that were dismissed. I went to a different doctor with the same concerns and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Avoid if possible.

He is very intelligent and has an excellent and unique kind of training. He is at least bi-lingual (Spanish and English) and maybe more if his ethnicity is taken into account. Never judgemental or condescending. But he is, at worst, somewhat moody. But he has a great sense of humor.

Wait times are long, staff is incredibly rude, it's impossible to get an urgent appointment, and I have never left feeling at ease with my visit or that I was listened to. Mostly recently I called in to get an urgent appointment for what I thought was an upper respiratory infection. I was not offered an appointment but had antibiotics sent over to my pharmacy. Days passed and I was still not feeling better so I tried to get in for another urgent visit TWICE and was told I could not get in, that the antibiotics would work soon. I was just released from the hospital this morning for severe bronchitis. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

I am moving out of state and am sad I will have to leave his practice!
