After several years of significant shoulder pain I found Breakthrough Regenerative Orthopedics. Finally someone who can get me on track. I've worked with 5 different orthopedic docs and none of them were able to diagnose why I was suffering with limited range of motion, numbness, and pain. Dr. Mazzola was able to piece it all together and after a few injections he has eliminated 99% of the numbness, improved my range of motion and reduced my pain significantly. I was a D1 athlete trying to deal with a back injury for two years. I couldn't sleep at night, struggled to get through a day with minimal pain, and had an overall lack of energy. I was getting epidural injections every 2-3 months to deal with it. I thought I was stuck with that lifestyle and never felt like doctors heard me. My physical therapist recommended Dr. Mazzola. He found some tears in my glutes and other injuries around my SI joints, injecting me with prolo and PRP. It's four months later, and I feel better then I have in two years! I am able to sleep again, and I have even recently started running again (something I didn't think I would ever be able to do again). I can;t thank him and his staff enough. My physical therapist recommended Dr. Mazzola and I'm so grateful to her. I had tendonotis in my hip, some calcification, and pain that now extended to my upper glute, hamstring and even down to my calf. I had pain walking up hills and weakness throughout my left hip and leg. Before coming to Breakthrough, I was concerned that these mobility issues would follow me and worsen as I aged. Dr. Mazzola immediately zeroed in on the areas where I was having trouble and explained the root causes to me. He took his time to explain the treatment, which was PRP with prolo, physical therapy, and some supplements. After about three months being dedicated to PT, I came back and the pain and weakness in my hip was gone with some residual pain in my high glute and hamstring. Dr. Mazzola wanted to give it more healing time so I came back 4 months later and got the prolo treatment. I noticed immediate improvement with the prolo. His entire staff and this experience is great.

I came to Dr. Mazzola with an entrapped nerve in my neck and upper trapezius area. This problem was an old one, and I had been unable to fix it with traditional physical therapy and neurological/orthopedic visits. Thankfully, I was able to get relief with a procedure that Dr. Mazzola uses that is called hydrodissection. Immediately after the first treatment, I was able to do nerve glides and stretches that previously had caused severe pain (that were impossible to do). I'm in the process of working with a physical therapist over a few months to strengthen and rebuild that left shoulder and neck area. It's been a wonderful experience discovering Dr. Mazzola.

When I came in, my severe hip arthritis and labral tear made it painful to walk and move. Dr. Mazzola treated me with PRP treatment, B-MAC (bone marrow treatment), and then PRP again. The pain is about 90% better now and I am able to resume my physical activities again.

Hypermobile joints led to joint problems for decades. I was treated with prolo and PRP in both SI joints and right hip, as the hips/pelvis seemed the place to start.
