I met him in the Cardio ward at the Lake Regional hospital in Osage beach, MO where was admitted from the Emergency room at Ft. Leonard Wood. I had a Cardiologist already, but Dr. McDermott's knowledgable manner convinced me to make a follow-up appointment with him. His staff and his own demeanor was outstanding, though I must say that he is a busy Doctor. Based on his skill and attitude, I can see why. He took the time to talk with me, explaining my questions fully. He never once talked "down" to me, but quickly ascertained the level of ability in the conversation and adjusted his communication accordingly... something I wish MORE Doctors would do. Bottom line, he is now my Cardiologist. He should be yours.

Dr. McDermott is well-trained and an accurate diagnostician in my experience. The office is well run and staff are courteous and caring. Dr. McDermott is sometimes rushed due to the number of patients he is seeing, but he does seem to care and will explain things more thoroughly if you ask him.

Dr. McDermott is easy to understand, explains treatment in layman's terms, takes all of your health concerns into consideration. Spends time with you during your appointment. Follow-up by his office is excellent.
