SO I CALLED TO FIND OUT WHY WE HAVENT HEARD FROM THEM FOR MY HUSBANDS FOLLOW UP. COME TO FIND OUT HE IS OUT AND DONT KNOW WHEN HE WILL BE BACK. SO INSTEAD OF THEM CALLING AND LETTING US KNOW THEY JUST PUT IT LIKE ON HOLD UNTIL THE OTHER DR THAT IS FILLING IN CAN SEE HIM. THEY SHOULD OF LET US KNOW SOMETHING

I researched a lot of surgeons and thought he would be a great option. I was so overwhelmed by how much more I learned about my body after he explained everything thoroughly and gave me options. So happy and pleased with my outcome! Thanks again doc!

I saw Dr. Micek and I thought that I didn’t have any other options with my knee. I was in so much pain. He has such a great personality and loves to joke around. He got right to the point after the surgery …. It seems like I have been healed. It means alot to have someone like this as a doctor. He gets all of my respect!

Very nice people, very professional staff and FNP .. they helped me a lot with my knee care.. I will stay using them.

My first visit young man came in first and questioned me about physical therapy before I saw the doctor. This made no the next thing was x ray. Finally in comes Dr. Micek I told him what was going on and I was there because an Orthopedic doctor told me I hand to see a hand surgeon for my surgery. After telling me about the arthritis and joint disease he told me my wrist was only at a stage 2. Then he wanted me to take a Cortisone shot even though they hadn't worked in the past. I did and it didn't help either. Also he got a nerve test scheduled for me to see if it was a nerve problem. Second visit was a big joke. He should have saved me the trip and called with the results since he wasn't going to help me. They are not concerned about the pain you deal with just getting you in physical therapy. Both times I was there in my have spent 2 minutes with me even though I had waited for more than 30 minutes on him. Even though the nerve test showed nothing he still wanted me to see a… Neurologist. Why when the test showed nothing? I would never recommend him to anyone to him.

I have never experienced a worse office staff. Calls were not returned. Ended up having to go to Campbell Clinic to correct what had been done. Was sent to UT emergency room and to a trauma doctor .

I had a bone spur on my thumb joint. Mr. Micek assured me it was an easy surgery with a quick recovery. After surgery the pain and deformity was horrendous but I was told this was normal. In fact I had a phone message from the nurse that my thumb would be "99 percent or better. ". I did physical therapy for weeks. Long story short, Dr micek left me with a disfigured thumb (its been 4 years) and incredibly terrible pain to this day. My phone calls were ignored.. About a week after the surgery I asked him why my thumb was deformed.. He said it would be OK but when I saw the look on his face I knew that he knew he screwed up. I have no recourse m. There is nothing that can ever be done. I lost 8 weeks of not being able to make commission (i am pet stylist) and am still in terrible pain. Please think twice before you let this guy near you. The only reason I gave one star is because its the only way to submit this.

I had chosen Dr. Micek to perform surgery on my ankle after seeing him as my second opinion. He originally won me over with his caring personality and the idea of a far less traumatic procedure than another orthopedic had recommended. What was supposed to be an easy hardware removal turned out to be a nightmare! He broke all of my screws in half, leaving the other halves still embedded in my ankle. Within two weeks, I knew there was a problem because one incision failed to ever close and bled. For roughly 6-7 weeks post-op, I continued to call, complain, and visit Dr. Micek to relay my anguish, but was continually told that everything was fine. Unfortunately, everything was not fine. After two ER trips and finding my own Infectious Disease doctor, I was diagnosed with osteomyelitis caused by MSSA. My ID doctor was appalled by the state I was in; having one incision still gaping open, the other incision had a large abscess, and my entire joint/lower leg was swollen with skin… rippling! I had just seen Dr. Micek less than a week prior, but was dismissed. Since the infection was so advanced, I had to have a PICC line inserted for 7 weeks, giving me IV antibiotics. I was sent back to Micek towards the end of IV therapy because my ID doctor wanted his clearance before pulling out my line. After all of that, he still had the nerve to tell me that he really wasn't convinced that I'd had osteomyelitis, even though two cultures and a 2.5 hour MRI (all done by 3 separate hospitals) confirmed MSSA down to the bone!!! It's now been almost 2 years and I'll never be the same, let alone improved. I still have the fragmented screw pieces in my bones, as well as whatever bone putty/graph he used to attempt to patch up the damage he did trying to work the screws out. Due to the severity of the osteomyelitis, I will always have to watch out for recurring staph infections. My incisions have opened back up at least 3-4 times in the last year alone because the skin is so weak from being left open and infected for too long. I recently was diagnosed with a Brodie's Abscess on my tibia; a direct result of the prior infection. The doctor I'm now seeing said that she and the reviewing radiologist both agreed that my X-rays "look like a bomb went off inside the ankle." All of this from a "simple hardware removal." I'm left to live with this now at 30 years old....
