He is fantastic! You know what to expect with James. I highly recommend him for knee issues or replacement.

Get a total hip replacement after a femoral neck fracture that didn’t heal. Six weeks later, my wife is walking normally without pain in both legs same length and able to walk without any implements. Did x-rays on my hip knees and I have chronic arthritis and we’re trying some injection procedures of the knees to help me feel less painful. First day I’m doing much better already and no pain I can sleep without aching pain in my knees. We were at ROC and he was on time and very concise and helpful and doing all the follow ups that have been required to this point

He took care of my teenage son’s tibia fracture and did a phenomenal job. He was kind, straightforward, thorough and always explained everything. He really put my son at ease. My son is an athlete and Dr. O’Mara’s excellent work allowed him to get back to his sport. I will be forever appreciative that it was Dr. O’Mara who took care of him.

If you get this Dr. at Renown So. Meadows emergency room be aware. I sat with a broken arm for 2 weeks with him saying It might heal itself, but he did not stabilize arm at all. Finally he decided I needed surgery. (DUH) Follow up on my pain he determined he would not help me any more and wanted me to go to a pain clinic. My pain is not chronic but a result of my broken arm. Please run the other way if you get assigned this Dr. I wish someone would have warned me.

I feel he never spent any time with me explaining any procedures and my diagnosis. It has be a year and my leg is still broken and I have signed a release to get all my medical records and his staff sent me my last visit and no other medical records. I do not know why he will not release any of my x-rays. Just seems odd to me. I wanted the records so that I can get a 2nd opinion. Now, I have to go to another physician and they will have to request them. Dr. O'mara has no real reason as to why after a year that my ankle still has a break and i already have had two different surgeries to change the hardware; and, by the way, extremely painful. I am extremely frustrated and I have never felt so confused when I walk out of his office.

We waited a minimum of 45 minutes for each appt, which was way too long for a newborn baby. When we did get to see him, he never explained his diagnosis or treatment plan, even when we questioned him with research of our own. Two other doctors have contradicted his treatment plan. The office staff is very unorganized. I would not recommend him to anyone because of our poor experience
