Dr. Timothy Howard Trone, MD

Answered all my questions after doing my scope and will follow up with my condition in 6 months.

To me, Dr. Trone represents the gold-standard of doctor-patient care. He shows a personal concern for my well-being, a broad knowledge of ENT diagnosis-treatment and a marvelously "can-do" attitude. He was able to fit me in the day I was in-clinic for another appointment, for which I was very grateful and thankful.

Dr Trone was one of the better doctors I've used over the years. He explained things in a manner that I could understand, took the time to list to my question fully before answering. Explained my options for treatment & when I asked which would he do if he was in my spot. He answered which one - I took his suggestion.

Dr Trone is the best doctor I've seen at Vanderbilt. He is organized, systematic, and compassionate in his approach and I wish the other doctors I see were more like him

I looked up my diagnosis afterword to find out more information. However, I wasn't asked detailed hx. No one asked if I experienced damage to my hearing, or recent med changes that could cause tinnitus. Then when the treatment med was told to me, I asked about side effects. At that point the MD said, Can cause you to feel dry. I think he said sodium retention. I then asked if it would interfere with spironolactone. He asked if take that and I said yes. Then you can't have this med, he said. So, I left without a solution. However, he did provide his cell number and told me to call if I'm dizzy for a steroid infusion.
